So I noticed that readings will vary wildly depending on where they are located so what is the ideal placement to give the most accurate readings inside a cabinet or tent?
I noticed that if placed under the lights upon the growing medium you get the tempature as if you were standing in the sun which can vary as much as 10+degrees than the ambient temperature.
Then if placed high in the box you get an inaccurate reading because heat rises to the top of the containment area.
So when placing the sensor for my Sentinel MDT-1 timer I decided I would hang it from the chain the lights hung upon about 12 inches above the light. Will this give me a pretty accurate reading for the ambient temperature of the box?
For the C.A.P. Controllers - VSC-DNe - Variable Fan Speed Contoller Day/night comes with a long wire with a screw terminal on the end. I placed this halfway down the side of the box attached to a screw that holds the cabinet together.
From what I can guess, because the cap controller has no digital readout, they seem to run pretty close together. I'm just looking for the most accurate temperature to keep the ladies in the most hospitable conditions I can provide for them.
Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, solutions?
