Where did I go wrong

Greetings all,
according to the small amount of knowledge I have on growing, how good the end product is depends of the quality of the seed. I had some fairly good smoke,took those seeds, they grew and then when ready were cured.
the result is great looking tops, smells good and produced no high, might as well have made rope out of it.
What do you think went wrong to produce such poor smoke?

Bad genetics. From what you described it sounds like you grew healthy plants... Unfavorable genetics is the only thing it can be. Spend the money for seeds or obtain trusted clones, as much time, money, and love we put into these girls, I'd be crushed if they had no medicinal effect.

there is no way you didnt get high unless you smoke a pound a day you trolling

Are you sure you grew it to it's full potential? did you dry and cure it right? if so it's hard to believe you did'nt get any high from it.

My guess is you rushed it. Didn't let it fully grow. Even fast dry and cure would give you something if grown right. All plants take 8-14 even longer to fully grow.

Anyone can grow some weed BUT to grow weed that you will get high from is a different kettle of fish.

One thing.. were the Thrichromes turned cloudy at least if not amber? I bet they were clear?

Next time check Trichromes chart for when to harvest dood.. :/

Also if it was a Sativa and you were expecting a heavy couchlock stone then.. *fart* LOL

My blue dream(80/20 S/I) is a heavy couchlock stone after about 30 minutes of uppity

i like the up but most days the couchlock it helps me unwind

After a stressful day the up just locks my brain inside of itself with my thoughts - the mindnumbing stupor is what I crave in those situations.

Well what i was pointing out was that different strains have different amounts of cannabinoids = different Highs.

This is one of the reasons i love Ganja.

I think your right, I cut them when the little white hairy things turned brown, trimmed them up and put them in a open crate in my dark closet. Checked them everyday until they were dry. I didnt pay any attencion as to how long it took them to flower, My Bad.Their is a high but really next to nothing. Not worth the smoke you put in your lungs. So now my newest babies are about a foot high. I am really shy about buying seeds on line. Down here in Texas they frown on pot.

They probably needed 2 more weeks but even then it should have some effect. Online seed banks are your best bet. Attitude has been great

Cloudy trichomes and brown hairs are what we strive for but I have a story to tell. Basically for personal reasons I had to discontinue a grow in which the plant still had a good six weeks to go until she was done. This plant had all white hairs, buds that were green and unripe and perfectly clear trichomes. Obviously we wait for cloudy/amber trichomes and all white hairs turning brown, etc when we can, that's just the proper way. Well I had to chop her very, very early and guess what? After a good dry and cure the smoke was fucking insane. Very potent and a great high. The hairs turned brown and the trich's matured as well into some amber etc. during the cure.
So in other words, chopping early can still yield a great smoke/vape with the right genetics. I have been wondering just how great she would have been if she went all the way. Bagseed too.
