Where did everyone go?

Title says it all. I feel like the majority of the original members, plus some new cool cats have disappeared and moved (possibly to a different forum?)
Could anyone please show some insight.

Last year there was this opening of a new forum, alot of RIU member got the link. I was one of those people.. But I forgot the site so I came back here lol

im a member on a few other sites... going on 5 yrs on riu

Sometimes I'll go to grasscity if I can't get something answered on here, just more people there.

And a lot of people will eventually either quit growing or get so good they don't really need a forum, or go to jail, and die.

I think it's because of a mod getting busted for dealing. Alot of people just stopped logging in.

The site getting hacked and people losing 2 months of journals and posts ruined it for a bunch also.

Garey Busey made his own forum but that seems to be down at the moment. I was invited to be a mod over there but...

True, the bust made everyone really paranoidand they started blaming the site security for it. But that was mostly newer members with little faith.

I thought the biggest exodus was way before you or I ever joined, with a coincidental instigator...

i belong to a couple places. i go years without posting anywhere then get in the mood again.

i learned the basics in the mid 90s and not much has changed except the people.
