He's in Germany, but they MUST Sell somthing like that in the US. It'll be soooo easy, just pipes and plugs. I tried PVC, can't get the right fittings ANYWHERE. Unless I could maybe get them online, but IDK, this is what I want! Anybody know where to find these parts in the US? LOWES maybe? SEARS? IDK, I checked Home Depot, and other local hardware stores, but 2 hours drive versus, asking the community.

Wouldnt it be really cheap to just get wood and make it yourself? only need to go to the hardware store and get some long lengths of wood, then you need some decent strong screws to hold it together, you could even have supports strong enough to hold the lamp from the cubicle its self and then enclose it much better.

nongreenthumb is right that would be the best way to do it and i think it would be way stronger and you could make it any size you want right

I tried to build one out of 2x2's and 4'x4'x5/8" ply, and let me tell you, I am no handy-man! I have to build another growbox, which is why I am interested in this, had a whole LOAD of issues with the last one. Check my grow out, I think the problems with the box start somewhere around page 7. Maybe closer to the end.

Looks like its just 1" square tubing with plastic connections. You can probably pick that up at your local hardware store.

I did read your post, I thought you meant that you would rather poll the community before running around to different hardware stores.

I would think True Value or some other place would have it no problem, but I guess not. Try a building supply company. Just ask for 1" square aluminum tubing. It might be a dry-wall related item, dunno, im no handyman.

If you can't find the plastic connectors, just use small "L" brackets with two holes. Think railings or small shelf connectors. Get some 1" tubing and you are set. If wood isnt your game, you could look into pvc pipe and fittings. They would be cheaper then alluminum, easier to saw, and glue together easily.

They will make one cut in each piece of wood. And then I had to trim two pieces, and hang the door from the hinges, this is where I mess up. Trimming (by small-hand-saw, no skillzall or w/e) and the hinges. I put the door on crooked and tryed three different times, I ended up buying another piece of plywood putting it up and leaving it crooked cause I said fuck it. But yea, wood's not my forte.

Oh, man, didn't even think about having to cut them.....DAMNIT. O well, time to bring home a hacksaw from work. I'll return it when I'm done.

Thanks willie. Biggest problem is I can't find the aluminum tubing. I just want to let everyone know, I really appreciate ALL posts! They are all very helpful, they make my mind work. I have a tendancy not to think of the simplest things!

I still say pvc pipe is the way to go. Plastic is easy to cut and you can fit all of the peices together before you glue to make sure they fit. And as a bonus, PVC doesnt conduct heat or electricity! As far as the PVC fittings go, look in the plumbing department. The stuff you are after will be white in collor and a bucket full of 90 degree and "t" fittings should get you through.

Must just be my local store....not having it in stock and all....And willie! The PVC I cant find the correct fittings for the PVC. I tried Lowes and Home Depot. Any suggestions or other fitting that I could use, that I might have not thought about?

Why build a wooden door, you could make the frame like the one you pictures with just simple cuts from the store. Then use white sheeting and canvas to cover it. Make the door with a zip.
