Yh its is ... but still the only reason your doing 21/3 is coz your trying to get your plant to grow more.
just noone knows if it does the plant any good .
THATS WHY I DONT GO TELLING EVERYONE TO USE WIERD ASS CYCLES

This guy is Awesome! :D. I'm on the hunt for a store with 48w + of CLFs. I grabbed one today that was cheap.:



Dats a 48w.

Yh takes sweet just keep adding them man .. As it grows as theres no point yet as they say you only need half the light for a young plant so 48watt light will be good for now.

so i checked today and the lights are sure enough 100w cfl not 100w equal they go in small outdoor flourescent fixtures, theyre about 8 inches long i plan on positioning three around my plant pointing down vertically from the top

Yh 6500 will be fine for veg and just buy one more or a couple cheap 48w ones for flowering make sure they are 2700k RED

Red spectrum lights promote flowering/Budding. Blue Spectrum lights promote plant growth and leaf growth.

Red Spectrum lights run at 2700k
Blue Spectrum lights run at 6700k

200 - 280 nm UVC ultraviolet range which is extremely harmful to plants because it is highly toxic. 280 - 315 nm Includes harmful UVB ultraviolet light which causes plants colors to fade. 315 - 380 nm Range of UVA ultraviolet light which is neither harmful nor beneficial to plant growth. 380 - 400 nm Start of visible light spectrum. Process of chlorophyll absorption begins. UV protected plastics ideally block out any light below this range. 400 - 520 nm This range includes violet, blue, and green bands. Peak absorption by chlorophyll occurs, and a strong influence on photosynthesis. (promotes vegetative growth) 520 - 610 nm This range includes the green, yellow, and orange bands and has less absorption by pigments. 610 - 720 nm This is the red band. Large amount of absorption by chlorophyll occurs, and most significant influence on photosynthesis. (promotes flowering and budding) 720 - 1000 nm There is little absorption by chlorophyll here. Flowering and germination is influenced. At the high end of the band is infrared, which is heat. 1000+ nm Totally infrared range. All energy absorbed at this point is converted to heat.

you can get 105w red or blue off ebay for about $60.
theres some 125w blue ones that pop up on there now and then, 2 for $50.

Ok here is the best advice ... them 23w cfls havnt got the lumen intentisty .
so this is y :::::::::::::
a 30w clf has 2000 Lumen intensity (so it cant penetrate the bud deep enough thats why you get reli small buds)
125w Envirolite cfl 12000 Lumen intensity (Envirolites can penetrate bud ok still not great but still with more light it will)
a 400w hps has around 55000 Lumen intensity (hps will penetrate bud great up to 10 ft away)
i have seen 30 watt cfl's that produce 4600 lumens, make sure ya do ya home work on cfl's before degrading 30 watt cfl's
