Where and how do you seek God? Or are you an idol worshiper?

Where and how do you seek God? Or are you an idol worshiper?

There are so many Gods and Goddesses in forums today that these places begin to look as in the days of Babel. Two camps do seem to be forming though. Those who seek on the left and and those who have found on the right.

Which camp are you in?

If you seek God, where are you looking?

If you have found your God, please supply a name. Show me yours and I will show you mine.

P.S.Gnosis is knowledge that leads to wisdom. Wisdom is Sophia in our myths. She has faith in you finding her. Thank God Eve ate and Adam had the good sense to do as told and eat as well.

All I have to do is look in the mirror. We are one collective consiousness and all one in the same. To seperate, measure, and identify external things is the worst of all human conditions. It leads to valuing one life more than another, or one species more then another, when in reality we all woven from a single fiber. To seek 'god' is futile pursuite-something our feable minds try to do to wrestle with the idea of what come after 'life'. The buhdists got it right- begining, end, life, death-those are words with made up meanings, they really don't mean anything. Nothing starts, nothing stops, everything just is and will continue-it can't stop because it never started.

'God' is the good that is inherent in all people, IMO- not an external or existential concept.

I like the way you began but not your ending.

To not seek an ideal in law or God, --- as you suggest with your view that seeking God is futile, means that we would have never developed such good social laws and bring relative peace to the collective consciousness you seem to recognize, if we had taken your suggestion in the beginning. That would be quite evil.

Your ideas need further refining. As I said above. Sofia has faith in you.

I shoudln't of said seeking 'god' is futile, what I really meant is it's an abstract concept and that the creator of the universe(if there is such a thing) is probably in a form we can't even being to comprehend. I think 'god' is the collective consiousness of every living thing, therefore you can't really search for him/it-it's already right in front of all of us.

I also believe that everyone's truth is different. What you believe is ture in your world, and what I believe is true is mine. There is no way to know if your eyes see the same things as mine, know what I mean? This conversation might be taking place at the intersection of multiple demensions. No way to know that people look the same to you as they do to me. Dimensional translation is a theory I came up with where I may describe something like a chair to you - four legs, a flat peice to sit on, and a high back to rest on- but maybe your reading -6 tripods, two flat peices, and a double headrest- because that's what chairs are like in your dimension. Due to dimensional translation, we see and hear the same things-just in our respective realities. We will never know :) Or maybe i've just done too many psychadelic drugs, lol.

That's not really a theory you came up with... A lot of people wonder about that sort of thing at some point. You kind of just made up the name 'dimensional translation'.

I know I was kinda trying to be funny, but my dry sense of humor doesn't always resonate online :) I know it's now a new idea

Better.

What are your thoughts on this science that might be proving what I believe and which might be close to your view.

To start with I'm not religious and am unsure in what I believe in. My mum is a crazy believer in god and the christian faith and she sent me to a christian youth camp. While they where doing the service one night I was sitting up the back bored as then next minute this preacher up the front was calling out these really specific ailments. Then while he was praying for them there was literally this energy you could feel in the room then he ( the preacher ) came up walked over to me put his hand on my head and bang it was like 10000 volts straight through me I passed out for 10 min or so. This has made me believe that if you get enough people in one room believing hard enough in something it becomes real.

@AeroBella. It's great that you've had the personal experience that you have. An event like that makes it near impossible to deny that there's something bigger than us out there. It sounds that like me, you know that there is SOMETHING out there but you just don't understand it and therefore may not know how to relate to it. That's the case with me anyway. Some of course will call it undeniable proof of God. If some people want to call this power God thats fine with me. Personally, no (certain) name or title for it has been revealed to me so I will continue to wait for it. People like you and I are fortunate. We don't have to accept on faith that this power is out there. We know it is. I've spoken to so many who seek such personal experiences but unfortunately it is my experience they are found when least expected. That has over the years taught me just to wait. Is there a particular way that you seek enlightenment concerning "the force"? lol. I would be interested to know if you wouldn't mind sharing with me/us.

To follow the bible God you basically have to sell your soul to Satan and embrace barbaric human sacrifice and the punishment of the innocent instead of the guilty.

Are you ready to do so?

If not, look into Gnostic Christianity as they have a moral version of God instead of the genocidal son murdering prick of the bible that literalism forces you to believe in.

The first link is your goal then and the second shows how to get there.

This is the basic Gnostic Christian way of thinking.

Any myth can be internalized so your beliefs can be used whatever they are.

When you can call God I am and mean yourself, then you will begin to understand and know God.
