When's the earliest that you can put a plant outside to veg?

This is a very vague question. All marijuana plants vary slightly. Not all marijuana plants go into flower the same time, maybe unless they are clones. Some plants will begin to flower earlier than others, while other plants still may take multiple weeks to flower. Basically, these short days we get, once a plant is sexually mature, and its only receiving a limited amount of light per day, thats telling the plant that winter is coming (even though it may not be), so the plant must pass on its gene and die, And by passing on its gene I mean going into flower, to produce resinous buds to collect male pollen to produce seed for following years. I am not sure is hours of day light vary by location, but in my personal experience I have found that I cannot start seeds any earlier than april first, If I start any earlier all I do is waste my time, the plants will begin to flower and then take another 1-2 months to reveg, and yield is decreased substantially. Well, to sum things up, the earliest I can put a plant outside under natural lighting is april first. Hope that helps, happy toking:blsmoke:

this is every good information. i would also like to add. if you have plant that isa early finisher. it startes flowering earlier or it has a short flower cycle. or both. if the plant starts early then its going to need to be planted later. sometimes if you take a clone that is early finisher and have it under 24 hours of light. and you place it outside under 16 hrs of sun and 8hr of dark it will start to flower. and it will have to change back. so you really have to know your strain. you really have to timew your grow. you dont want to have your early strain under 24 hours of light before you put them out or they might start to flower. and you dont want them to be stretched out from having to much of a dark cycle. what you can do is place a light over them on a timer so when it gets dark the light comes on and they think its light. pick a strain and grow it for a few yrs and watch when it flwers and count the hours of light and then go to count the hours of day light in spring and you should be able to figure it out. im high so i hope this makes sense
