How old does a plant need to be before sexing? While waiting for my good seeds to come I found a mystery seed in my drawer where I kept my last batch of "ordered" seeds plus a couple strays might have fallen out of bags.

It's not about the age of the plant as you won't see anything until you change the light schedule and the plant begins the flowering stage. You can veg it for months without the plant showing sex.

that depends one you, and when you induce flowering. all though once they are old enough they will show sex even without flowering.

thats not true, plants will eventually show sex regardless of 12/12 once a plant reaches sexual maturity it will show sex .

You're right. I shouldn't have made the assumption we were talking about a "normal" grow and course of events. I should have stayed out of it any since my only experience is with the big light in the sky
