Hi Guys,
This is my first 'Real' grow, indoor OR out and i'm starting to panick slightly...lol...as i think i'm getting close and dont know when to flush or start flushing and not 100% sure when to harvest???
I'm growing in a greenhouse,in soil,Dutch Passion No1.They sprouted June 6.
Going by my pic's can someone tell me how close to harvest i am please? When to flush? Do you just do a final flush or several times before???
As you can see the Pistiles are white at the moment,do they need to go red/brown and shrivel up first? I have just ordered a small Hydroponic Microsope with an LED light to look a the Trichomes, but where exactly do i look for them? I believe they are ready when cloudy/slightly amber?
Any help much appreciated Guys.
PS the Buds are coated with what looks like icing sugar?

I don't grow soil so I probably should not be answering this but for my hydro set ups I like to flush last 2 weeks, I'm sure it's different for soil but gives ya an idea. I agree you got a ways to go regardless

flushing is a pretty contraversial topic in marijuana growing, especially in soil. i believe this is because most people misunderstand what nutrients do for the plant and how nutrients are stored. if i were you i'd go to the rollitup homepage and search "flushing koijn" and look at some of that dude's posts about it if you really want to know what's going on. but like kingston said it looks like you have a while to go

how long time have they been flowering (fist signs of white hairs) Im guessing 3-4 weeks .. so atlest 4 weeks more is my best guess base on them few pics and the info you provided ..

but great move with the microsope .. look for the thricomes .. near the top .. on the back side/side of the small sugar leaves ..

you don't want it to go to long .. of harvest to early .. your window is 1-2 weeks .. and if you harvest early you get a more high smoke .. wile a late harvest will give you a more stoned smoke so to speak ..

I like mine 10-30% amber with most cloudy ..

sorry for the pure quality .. hard to take good pics through a 100X led microscop .. hope it help you get a better pictur of what to look for ..

seed packed recommendations is mostly pretty close to my taste .. (8 weeks for my indica`s)

p.s.

dont worry to much about flushing in soil (specially if your in organic soil ?)

just cut the nuts 2 weeks before .. and use plenty of clean water on your last few waterings .. make sure to see good run off ..

Top Man!!!

PS Sorry for the silly question, but when you say 10-30% cloudy amber,do you mean one bud or all of the buds on the plant???

thricomes is clear to begin with .. then they get more of a cloudy look and then milky before turning amber .. I usually look for the amber once one a few top buds .. when I see like 1/3 amber and rest is mostly cloudy with a few clear I harverst ..

let em dry out good before harverst (time it so you normally would water but instead cut)

It also depends on the high you want, if they turn amber you will get the lazy high vs doing them before they get there to get there more energetic high, I've heard that when you see amber it means thc is degrading so it's a prime time to pull them and you only get a 7-10 day window.

ps: I wouldn't flush as your doing nothing but starving your plants and you don't get rid of any nutrients.
