For what its worth, I think they need some food and a couple weeks. But personally I like nice green leaves all the way to harvest.
Hah yeah i kinda screwed up my Nitrogen and they were kinda yellowing into flowering.

Just a heads up. Most people wait until they are seeing a fair amount of amber trichs before they cut. A lot stand by 50/50 but I usually try for a 30/70 amber to cloudy. If you are still seeing mostly clear then I'd wait.
It can be hard for us to tell from the pictures so we can only give you a ballpark figure but you can reassure yourself with the knowledge that if you let them go another 4 days, they'll only get better. In 4 days you can decide again whether to give them another few. You don't have to be definitive and say, "They need another week and 3 days!". Just play it as it comes.

As far as the foxtailing goes, there are a few environmental factors that can influence their existence but don't count out genetics as well. Some strains just have that characteristic in their genes and they'll show up no matter what.

Good luck with your harvest. That main stem on the one plant is mad red. Wild looking.
Thanks so much man, this has helped me a lot. I will keep an eye on Trichs every day and decide from that, might just harvest soon as i see some Amber
Anywhere i should be looking first for amber trichs?

Cheers.

They need a couple more weeks. The calyxes are not swelling, and the hairs haven't receded. I would feed them with your bloom nutrients. Half the people in here that say they are ready probably haven't ever grown before.

No no no! do not cut it down yet! I see no amber anywhere in the close ups. I agree they need at least another week or two. You will gain more if you wait. Btw that is some beautiful bud man!

ALL of those trichs are cloudy. Cloudy trichs is highest THC percentage, they all cloudy therefore chop 'er down and start drying. congrats on your first grow. You may gain a little more weight if you wait longer but will lose the purity and strength of the thc.

Fuck amber trics, those plants are NOT ready and have probably about month. People are always with this amber trics bullshit all the time, 3000 years ago did they have 60x to look at trics no, you know it's ready the same way you know a mango or an apple is ready, by looking at it and knowing what to look for, do some effing reading and you'll know.

I agree with ~ month left from those last pictures. The pistil are just beginning to change colors + calyx haven't even begun to swell.

2 weeks will not do them justice either...

Umm lots of people tryin to f u up.

Why? I can think of a few but ill keep to myself. Cut those you will thank us.

Your already too late imo. You want 70 percent clear 30 percent cloudy. Even 60 40. In that ball park. Highest youll ever b. Will destroy the commercial crap you buy at outragous prices.

Cheers:)

Do it right next time

So many mixed answers!
They have swelled a hell of a lot in the last two weeks from what they were, ism almost certain they're almost ready myself but i am only a first timer.
No idea why people would be trying to put me wrong but i will make the final decision in the end if they're ready or not which I'm trying to get some help with.
Still hard to decide after what everyone has said, some saying chop now, others day a week and then some saying another month? When they're clearly 60+ days since 12/12 switch with a 45-55 day strain.

Edit: Thanks for all the current help/replies too guys.

Also i need to water today, do i add nutes or plain Ph'd water?
Leaves are ALL basically yellow/dying.

Congrats on getting through your first grow! I'm still on my first grow and I know it's gotta be exciting. I've been getting lots of great input on here and some great advice too. As far as someone putting you wrong, I don't think anyone is actually trying to, well not many anyways, I think it's just a matter of there's more than 1 way to skin a cat. Especially when it comes to harvest and trich color. There seems to be about 3 different main schools of thought around here and I think for the most part, it boils down to personal preference. I can't offer you any advice on what to look for on your plant, but I can tell you what I do when looking at advice. I look at grow journals/threads of the people offering advice. I tend to look to those that are growing most like me. I take in account what kind of plant they are growing, their growing space, medium, types of lights they use and the smoke effect they desire. Wish I could offer some input related to your actual harvest, but I'm not going to be like some who give you advice and in the same breath tell you they are on their first grow. Good luck!

Hey, thanks heaps.. Its very exciting especially seeing nearly finished smokable product that i know i grew from seed!
I hope your grow goes just as well if not better!
Very good advice on looking at peoples journals etc, time consuming but i guess it would help.
I know what kind of high i'm looking for but people saying its ready now are confusing, but also people saying 2 weeks or whatever makes me think again.
I guess i'll leave it a few days and check trichs again, i don't think they will fill out anymore than what they are atm, they may but i've had no one say they will.
Either way i'm sure i'll be happy with the finished product as the stuff you buy around here is below average. (the reason i started to grow my own).

Still not sure if i should feed more nutes or plain water etc as they need a watering now.
Or anyone else have some advice.

Let me give you a exampke,

My friend is also a grower, hes running nl and sour secret. I told him to chop at 70 30 clear to cloudy, he yold me no thats too early. Cause he reaf some bullsgit on the internet. He wants to trust yhe internet over experiance? Go for it.

His smoke is ok. He yielded more, but no one wants the b grade. Couchlock trancelike. Buds may b smaller at the most potent, but u smoke so much less. And the leftovers will go easy.

Its up to you when to chop I like loads of amber but I just cut a bagseed early around day 90 12-12 from seed I thought she was never going to finish damn bagseed still great smoke is my point. If you wait a few days you won't be disappointed.

Sativa and indicas r different. U prob grow sativa indicated by the flowering time. In terms of sativa you do indeedily doodly want some of the amber, depends on what you like. Since sativas seem to constantly produce clear heads, from my experience not the flowering times I like, not the type of plants I work with.

I still love a good sativa dmoke, just hard to findbimo.

56 days from 12/12 is really something like 42-49 days flowering ... They plump at the end... Dont miss that

Cheers guys, i'm going to take the "risk" as such and wait a few more days.. it'll be 65 days since 12/12 switch tonight, which is over my 45-55 day flower time for the NLxBB.
The other plant Kerala x Skunk #1 is Sativa dominant so i'll leave her for a while longer yet.
I'm still seeing quite a few clear trichs on both plants and quite a few un made bubbles or whatever on the end of the clear stems of trichs. - Still no amber that i can see either.

U start counting days from 12 12.
Bmeat have a brother? Some of the worst advice I have seen, and you start counting when ever you want, the number of days doesn't matter, you harvest when the flowers are ripe. There are quite a few indicators that people use ranging from the pistils, tricomes and calyxes. Day counts are only a viable method if you always do the same strain and you always use the same light schedules (ie 5 weeks or 18/6 then X days of 12/12) and you have a history growing a strain in your conditions.

Since some people do 12-12 from seed, or flip before the plants are mature enough to begin flowering this is horrible advice for someone that is new.

Yes you can count once you flip but hbbum is correct .. They are done when they are done, but you also want to count when it starts flowering, im just being clear that 12/12 isnt the same as the start of flowering and if you are going by the reccomended time its from flowering.
