When to adjust PH - before or after adding nutes?

I am growing in coco with canna A+B and PK 13/14 and my tap water PH level is up around 7-8.
I have always dropped it down to 5.5-6 before adding my nutes but I just read somewhere I should be adjusting it after I add nutes?
I have never had any problems but just thought I would ask here to be sure so I can set my mind at ease.

Thanks for your input ^^

I use coco with A+B ,RHIZ ,CANZ ,BOOST ,

I only use boost at week 3 into flower.

I only use pk 13/14 at week 5 of flower for 3 waters only ? .

yes only PH the mix after you have added the nutes ,but let the mix stand for at least 1 hr before ph testing

Sorry forgot to mention I only use the PK during week 5 of flower.

I will start using RHIZ and BOOST eventually but have been trying to keep things simple while I get the hang of everything, so far with great results :)

So it sounds like I have been PH'ing wrong for a long time :S Guess I am lucky to have not had any big problems so far.

Will be interesting to check my PH after adding nutes next time!

Thanks Jay. <3

I use the floranova products normally in the bottles will tell you that all nutrients balance the PH. My self i add the nutes then test it. I alwayz go between 5.8 -6.5 safe zone for me =)

I don't have the blue lab one but I do have a cheapie version. I run from about 400ppm up to 900ppm from start to finish each grow. Remembering I only use A+B and PK during week 5. I imagine if I used the full range it could end up around 1400 ppm when in full bloom?

I checked my PH today on a mix where I had already adjusted the PH to 5.8 before adding nutes, and found it was still almost exactly the same which was a relief, however from now on I will now adjust the PH after adding nutes.
