Thought for the day.....
.
When starting new plants in pots or in the ground. It is best to water weekly - deeply & wide. Yes.. I said wide - either the outer rim of the pot or 6 to 9 inches out from the main stalk.
.
This encourages Mary to spread her roots in the quest for food & water.
.
If you water to frequently in the begining. Mary will not develop a far reaching rootball - as she only goes as far as the kitchen. If water and food are supplied too frequently & shallow - the roots stay small (that's bad).
.
So, make Mary reach out - it's not being cruel - it's conditioning for the long hall. Bigger rootballs equal Bigger Buds......
.
Hope this helps....
