when should I switch to 12/12?

It will double to triple in size when flowering. Do the maths. However you also have to account for the fact that you're using cfls.. meaning more can mean less.

you're plant will begin to produce pre-flowers about 4-6 weeks in you will need to look for them (pistils, and bud sites) like little white hairs.

What has that got to do with flipping to 12/12?

What do you mean by more can mean less?

You want to grow your plants to a size that corresponds to your lights capabilities. No point growing trees if your lights can't give 90% of the plant any usable light.

I've grown with cfl before and never been dissapointed with the outcome .I'm just going for more of a shorter and bushy type plant for the first time. And wanted to know if I should switch to 12/12 already

12/12 is flowering light schedule. you can switch whenever u want it wont produce buds until the preflowers have produced moron.

I would wait another week or 2. But it's up to you.
