When shall i switch (this isn't your typical "when shall i switch" thread).

So from the top of my tallest plant (at the back) there's 50cm to the bulb (600w hps) and I have 120cm width to work with which about 1/4 of it is free at the moment (just counting the space where there's just floor not between the plants)
but I can increase the height slightly but not preferable.
but 2 of my (middle round pot) are still in seedling and growing slowly.p
so I don't know can you help me I specifically want switch where I would get most yield without "vegging" for no reason to fatten up stem (while you sacrifice plant energy to create useless stem/leaves that would be lolipopped in the end anyway in my theory anyway.

Those "useless" leaves are your plants solar panels that make food to grow the plant.

The bigger the plant the bigger the yield. Simple as that.

Not really sure what you're asking about. You want to flip the little plants to flower with the bigger ones?

No I mean leaves and branches that are completely covered by bigger and higher branches, And that's what I meant yes, shall I switch now or wait a little longer? I mean as in I don't want to over-veg and have no space or less space i want it to completely fill my space without difficulty or overfill.

That's hard to tell. Plants don't reach sexual maturity until about 6 - 8 weeks when the nodes start to alternate tho will flower earlier but slower.

It's fine to flower anytime and really up to you to decide. Many plants get double or more in height when flowering so choose well.

I have errands to run today but will be back this evening.

That why you top and train the tallest branches to grow slower than the bottom ones so they will eventually become new colas. You don't want tall lanky plants you want them wide and bushy which means you need to allow for horizontal space as well as vertical. Plants will grow about 30% larger or more during bloom phase so as a general rule of thumb plan to flip your plants when they are about 2/3 the size you want them to be when they finish. It can be tricky to guesstimate how many weeks of veg you need before flipping in your small grow space because growth rate has to do with the wattage you run and how or if they are trained among many other factors. Any topping or training will slow down growth but it is also a necessary evil to achieve an optimal plant structure for max yields. If you flip these now they will not produce very much and as oldmeduser explained they could take longer to show sex as they are not yet mature. But than again that might be preferable to you if you plan to grow many small untrained plants is a SOG.
