Wehn people ask intelligent questions they get intelligent answers. If you ask, how much is a 400w HPS ballast? Then you get "google it".

I've answered a lot of questions in my short time here and I'll tell you a few things about them.

Many of the questions are the exact same and could be answered by stickies.
Many of them are phrased like, "Sup, I planted bagseed. Tell me how to grow this shit". I have spent thousands of hours studying cannabis cultivation and I think anyone truly interested in growing should do the same. If you don't do your homework I'm not going to give you the answers at test time.

Many of the questions can be answered by reading today's top two pages or running a search feature. Message boards are mostly the same. We all know there is a search function. Why can't anyone use it?

We can't guess your yield.

That said, any new grower who needs help is free to PM me if that have specific questions. If you search through my posts you'll see that I've given long and detailed posts when people ask thought out questions. Anyone with those is free to ask publicly or privately.

How hard is it to clear google search results? It takes about 10 seconds in every browser.

People come here and ask lazy questions and expect us to spend time explaining everything to them....

Example:... I just got 2 bagseed germinating. Tell me everything I need to know how to grow them cause they are dying...

Agreed. No one just constantly post "google it". Its the ones who can't seem to either properly phrase a question or simply have a stupid question- ur teacher lied, there is such a thing, google it. :joint:
Really though we or at least I and many others I know of will gove far above and beyond when someone is in need to deliver, however I don't care to tell someone how to "germinate the clones I've been saving from bags of mids, so I can finally grow some dank"- hopeless, this would wualify as a "u need to read a book and google a lot of shit up. I think everyone should feel obligated to at least pick up a book and learn the BASICS of cannabis cultivation. Anyone who reads a book should be able to form a question that's somewhat comprehendable thus increasing ur chances of getting the answer you seek.

that doesnt matter. he can type in his general questin into a search engine and read about it till he falls asleep then ask a NOT SO GENERIC question that he doesnt understand and he wont get that response.

experience is the best teacher ... you can only tell a newb so much.. but at the end of the day it's his grow his experience.. theres lots of books out there that explains every aspect in cultivating cannabis.. "INCLUDING LIGHTS" but people feel compelled to ask on here ..since theres alot of "experience" growers on here

yeh... u cant be pre-schooled (as in pre-taught) how to grow, u can get some pointers and the bare facts but u cant have it all.. u need to learn by experience, t-rust me,.. u need to spend a little, build a little, germ a little, spend a little more, work out that u didnt need that so u just wasted 500 bucks, spend some more, tweak here, think, ponder, dream, fantasise, think some more, build some more.

if uve actually got enough balls/brains to get some shit together like lights fans etc, then u got enough brain cells to build and learn as u grow..

Theres some info that does get repetitve and boring wen dishing it out.. like the pH basics and how that relates to nute uptake etc, ideal temps etc.......... but these basics ppl need to know.

Whats gooooood rzza??? A lot of time would be saved if people would just buy a book more often.

I agree with most of the posters on here.

I only started growing at Xmas09 and before i even found this site i was already 4weeks into flowering.
I managed to get just over 1ounce of dry bud from my first ever plant without any prior knowledge of growing anything.

As for lights
I went into my local hydro shop and said " i would like to start growing, what would be the best light for me to use?" I then got given a 600w Dual Spec HPS by my hydro shop owner. I then said " can i use this right the way through from start to finish?" I then also got given a propagation light.

Once i had my lights i then started using google to do a little research about germination etc. I also went onto youtube and watched a few vids etc

After what felt like a really intense few days i began my journey.

AS i mentioned already above, my first post on this site wasnt until january 2010 so i managed to do it all myself for the first few weeks.
How come some noobs cannot manage this?

Now i am not saying that i will not help out , i usually go out of my way to help but when i read silly questions such as those that have already been mentioned i get pretty annoyed and sometimes blow my top.

Even though i am on my 3rd grow i still consider myself a noob as i am still dialing in my nute regime etc. BUT I NEVER STOP READING. i have magazines about indoor growing (not related to MJ) i have books about our delightful herb etc

The questions such as " i just germinated my seeds what do i do now?" Or " Can i just throw them in some dirty from my yard?" these kind of questions really get my back up.

Now im sure i speak for most of the growers out there when i say that we will go out of our way to help people out but if you dont do a little research on your own first about your specific question then you are going to be told to google it.

We can normally pick out those people asking the questions that have done little to no research because the question you ask shows that you havent done any.

Something as simple as PH for your chosen medium you can just google "what ph should my nutes be for COCO" Replace coco for your chosen medium

THis is why we tell people to "google it" sometimes because the amount of times we have to spit out the same information over and over and over again it gets a bit menotanous(SP)

Just my little bit for anyone who wants to actually read it.

COuldnt agree more with you.

I mainly started to save myself some money and now my wife says i am borderline obsessed. I buy things each week to add to my collection of equipment and tools.

I seem to spend all my time doing research.

FOR INSTANCE ITS NOW 630am here and i have been awake for the last 2 hours (mainly because the wife left for work) but i have been on here helping answering and doing my private research too.

KEEP ON GROWING!

Read,research....Read,research....Read,research....Then when you cant find any answers to your questions, ask then.
Give these guys as much info on your setup as you can. This will help them answer your questions.Add pics if possible.

You just have to put the work in reading and researching...The info is here and there (Google).

Thanks to all the guys that have answered my many questions.I try to limit my questions to ones that I can't find answers for myself.

Peace
