okay so me and my buddy have this roommate who doesnt like buddah at all and has threatened to call the cops next time he sees us smoking, growing, buying, etc. so our roommate has this garden by our condo that he does every year. but this year he can't garden anything because he is to busy. so he aked us to maintain his garden for him. so we got started on it today and i plant 2 marijuana seeds about 1 1/2 inches into the dirt behind some tomato plants that have just been seeded and in between a bunch of other plants.
NOW FOR THE QUESTION: i was wondering when is the earliest i can flower these babies once they sprout and how?
i dont even care if we get like an eighth out of it or its a male.
PLEASE ANSWER!!! :)
Thanks!

Dude you obviously haven't taken any time to browse these forums have you? First off if a plant is male it's not going to produce anything your going to want to smoke. Secondly you really haven't given any information about the plot they will be grown, are they're existing plants around it if so how tall. Cuz seedlings will have a real hard time getting started if they aren't getting some proper light because of the already preexisting foilage around it. Need some more info man if i can help ya out. In order to flower a plant it needs 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark this can be most easily achieved by putting a trashbag over the plant on a timed schedule soon you'll see pre-flowers either balls or white hairs balls=mail hairs=female.

yea males dont give you any buds

so you have a 50 percent chance at getting a female and some nugs

your plants will flower when they get half sunlight and half darkness (12/12) easily manipulated indoors but outside its annual

that's too deep, you'll be lucky if they sprout. You can force flowering when they get alternating nodes, that takes about 4-6 weeks.

^^Right you ARE!

If they haven't germinated yet, get pull them up a bit. anywhere from 1\2 inch to 1\4 will do nicely,

Now I take it they are outside now? if so do u know if there satvia or indca? I would say closer to 6 weeks in general until you can force them into flower, mind you that the earlier you go to flower the less bud you will yield.

how many hours of direct sunlight (if sported) do the plants get? do you have the plant caged or some type on animal repellent? think about getting neem oil and mix it with some water and spray it on the plants, this will keep over 500 species of bugs and critters away.

Are there a lot of deer local to where you are growing?

how humid does it get?

Do the best to answer the questions I asked, this will allow me to offer more advice and get a better idea of your situation.

they were planted the same day i planted the other seeds of tomatoes and such. and i am planning on making hash out of male.
also there are no deer local, i don't know if its indica or sativa its from a bag of some surpremo bud, and its in illinois so idk how humid it really gets and there is no cage around the garden area, i will get some pictures up tomorrow if i can.

ok cool. if it was a seed outta a bag of dank, then I would say (from my experience) it is most likely a sativa. Also good that there is no deer so you don't really have to worry about caging them. are u in north IL bc if so u might get some lake effect weather patterns which can cause some humidity. but not too much that u will have to worry about. I suggest if you want to flow fast and still get a decent yield that you wait until they have about 5-7 sets before you induce flowering, although they are outside and they might put themselves into flower before that. but remember like I said before, the smaller the plant the less bud you will get (generally I know this isn't always true and I'm not trying to get reemed on the forum)

did you happened to veg them indoors with 24 hrs of light or atleast 18\6? if not then you will have to keep them outta the dark inorder to delay the flowering stage. the plants need 12 hours of darkness inorder to flower. without the darkness, they will continue to veg. So if u are able to bring them inside adn put them under some light then do so if not lets nature take its course. im sure if u take care of them well they will be fine. you might want to think about supercropping if u are looking to ensure you get large yeilds. be warned tho it does stress the plant, but being @ 12-14 inchs in the time to do so... supercropping that is

damn 2 months and only 5 sets? how many hours of direct sunlight do they get? What kind of soil are you using? any nutes yet? let me know and ill try to help you figure some thigns out. if they have been there for 2 months they should be MUCH BIGGER then that. I guess if you have a short strain that would be O.K Post some pictures. Is it any type of strain or is it just bag seed?
