When growing a plant strictly for hash....

Is it more important to have quantity of bud (say big bud x nl) or to get a strain with high resin production, but lower yield? I'm making bho, or ice wax.

Good BHO will resemble the strain it is taken from in taste, odor, and effects. Pick one you like.

Some strains produce more oil than others, so if oil was my goal, I would pick a good oil producer. So far the lowest we've seen was Catalyst at 5.7% by weight and the highest was an outdoor strain at 28.1% AA. Most of our strains hover between 18 and 23% Absolute Amber.

for just hash making the more trichome production the more hash but thc % will vary from strain to strain/ pheno to pheno also flavor/smell. so your gonna want to do selection to find the perfect one for you but she should be potent, loaded with trichs, smell and taste great. but its the final product your selecting phenos/ strains for so you'll need to keep clones around till you try the hash cause it could take you 100+ seeds to find that same pheno in that same strain that you loved.

High Resin producing strains is what you would be looking for dood. Good Luck to you on your Journey, i bet it's gonna be a great one.
