When do YOU start counting flower days

When do YOU say autos start flowering?

So normally I'd start counting 1 week after flip to 12/12. But sense she's auto flower I'm on 18/6. So no flip to go by
This is an OG kush by ilgm. 30 days from seed. ( seemed stunted with purple stem for first 2 weeks).
Today it showed its first preflowers. Feeding veg nutes currently. (GH trio) Curious if I should start transition feed. Or wait for multiple hair clusters?

Coco. This ones in 3gal fabric pot

wait for a coco grower for info, i dont grow in it so i cant offer any advice. but there are plnty of coco growers on here so it wont be too long b 4 someone can help. sorry

You're growing in coco. It's a soiless medium and should be treated as a hydroponic setup. That's a big ass pot with a little plant. You need some dry cycles to get the plant root bound before multifeeding

GH has a decent feedchart, but with autos it's tough to go by the week. If you made any mistakes it set them back.
If I were me growing my current plant again I wouldn't switch to bloom nutes until it had pistils. I mean obvious ones.

How much luck are you having with ph in the gh 3 part? Seemed like mine was always climbing, just sitting in a gallon jug, climbs.

idk what, but your plant is missing something, maybe N? Somebody will know for sure.

@Roy O'Bannon yes the ph continues to rise. it's pretty annoying. Freshly mixed 1 gal will go from 6.0 at 1st feed. 12 hour later its 6.5ish. So I have to adjust before more feeds. Glad I'm not the only with that problem

@p0opstlnksal0t I was wondering if it looked a little over watered. I was hoping the bigger pot would let it veg a little longer/get bigger then my older OG in a 1gal. Should have went to 1gal before the 3 gal transplant?

I don't do auto flowers so I don't know how to help with timing and all but growing in coco with a plant that size it needs a couple more weeks to veg in that size pot. In coco I never flip to flower until they are root bound in their pot and getting multifeedings per day.

Hay Man, she looks good. But also she seems to be asking for food. Bump her nitrogen and micro nutrients up a bit. I bet ya dollars to donuts that in 5 days you'll see much improved growth.

I don't. It doesn't really matter in the end, they finish when they are done.

I count the start of flowering from the timestamp of the picture I took when I first thought, gee a lot of these tops are getting spikey and looking like they are starting to flower.

This^ is very true. My only purpose would be to keep track of weekly nute schedule. I still use a scope to check ripeness

This isn't always true, so it's not very helpful.

Flowering can start outside that 21-28 day window.

Shit, I've seen by 14 days and I've had a non stunted into 40 days.

I wait until obvious cotton balls are seen.

Biologically flowering begins once the plant is forming actual flowers. Prior to that is the preflower/budding stage. These are basic stages of plant growth.
