I have 2 White widow and one northern light which have been flowering for 11 weeks now and don't seem anywhere close to finishing. The buds on the white widows are pretty small 2x2" at biggest and are still kicking out white hairs. The NL buds seem bigger but are mainly hidden in the leaves so its hard to tell. Both seem like they're going to produce more buds but from what i read they should be done by now.

The plants are bushes due to being topped a couple times and have been in a low temp climate which im guessing has slowed its growth? Any advice on how long i should let them go yet or why else they would be taking this long?

Pics please.
But if you're still producing fresh pistils, you've still got a way to go.
Have most of the pistils shunken?

Temp slowing flowering? Not sure, but I think it can.

Got a magnifier to look at the trichs? Are they clear, cloudy, amber, or a combination?

Cant tell if they've shrunken but most of the older ones have turned red.

As far as the trichs most of them are still clear but theres a few that have turned amber as well, it all depends on what buds you look at.

that's exactly right.. you could always harvest any buds that look ready and leave the ones that don't, lots of people do that...

if you had some pix, it would surly help with a time frame.. and, i've pretty much yet to run any strain from any breeder and have it be ready when they said it should be.. most of them seem to take at least a good 2 weeks longer than the breeders say they will be ready, some even longer than that...
just how low did the temps get?? usually higher temps slow growth, but i'm sure if they got super cold, the same would happen..

My last grow was under some CFLS for 9 weeks, i LSTED and the top was still growing and poking out white hairs on top while the lower branches were completly done, I harvested the lower plant and just left the top to grow, Believe it or not that plant flowered for a total or 17 weeks, It just kept poking out white hairs at the top, I eventually just topped it in flower i needed the room and was not getting shit for bud off it really. I did get a total of 53.2 grams, Very airy but still very good smoke. It was under 5 26watt and a few 13 watts i think, I was in a homemade box i was using for experiments lol.. Most the weight was stems i'd say a total of maybe a ounce of actual bud.

Point being if you wanna let it go, just harvest whats done, If not, topped it and harvest it. I've researcher as much as i can and haven't found anything about a plant continue to flower while the lowest are done, very stones sorry if it doesnt make sense, Good luck if you have any question holler

well there all under the same 400watt hps with a 23cfl and a shop light, but id say the top buds are done but the bottom ones could use another few weeks. Ill get pics up tonight when my light turns off.

What kind of lights are you using, and how far away are they?

Your curled leaves look heat stressed.

And the pics need to be a lot closer, got a macro setting on your camera?

I did have the lights about 9" away up untill about a week ago when i moved them back to 15", I was trying to get more light down below. Im using a 400watt Ushio hps with three suplementary cfls. Both of the strains are from nirvanas. And no i was just taking pics from my iphone but i might be able to borrow my buddies SLR that would get some good pics.

And what do you think about the purple and upward facing leaves on the northern lights? Is that from heat as well or its natural way of getting light to its lower branches?

unfortunately i had to convert the pics and they have watermarks but here they are a lot closer and clearer.

the last two pics are the biggest and top most buds out of all the plants, they dont seem to be growing any more but the lower one are. Is it safe to say i could cut them off and move the other buds closer to the lights?
