when and how to flush?

I understand you should flush if there is a nute or ph problem, I get that. But do we sacrifice the effects of over watering when we do so? If I overfed today with watering, and decided to flush the next day or two after would I suffer from overwatering? Also would adding more perlite and such to help promote drainage, help or make it harder to overwater? Im just asking and want to see what others think about this. Thanks...

i would def add more perlite! i hate soggy water and dont mind watering more by using it. esp with the "soils" that are available. i can flush as much as i want but again depends on your drainage if youre using pure 707 you might run into some root rot and bot if you flush too much. how much water comes out when you water and how quickly is the clue to if you can flush the next day. good luck!

Hey dude,
When it comes to over feeding and you can see the frist sign's of nute burn you should flush with just ph'd water at frist, use three times of water to the amount of soil you got in the pot, with ph you should just flush with ph'd water untill you get the same runoof as the water you are flushing with, 6.5. With the 1/4 nutes you use in the water you flush with is to replace the nutes your flushing out of the pot, some people say flush with just ph'd water and others will say flush with 1/4 nutes, i would flush with a smaller amount of nutes just to be on the safe side' hope this helps you scunk
