when and how much do i water in the beginning stages???

i have fox farm ocean forest soil..so its very good butt i am using a 45watt light right now and doing 16hours on 8 off...is this good???they are ak-48 seeds[white strain] they were just put in the pot in my closet..i have a 400watt light ballister and all.

Fill your pot with dry soil (or if your plants are grown, wait for the soil to dry out). Take the pot with the dry soil and put it on the lightest scale you can (if you're using a Styrofoam cup use a gram scale, if it's an actual pot use a human scale). Then, water that pot, and when it looks dry and you think it needs to be watered, weigh it.

Basically if your pot is 1.2 lbs when the soil is completely dry, water at OR around 1.2 lbs. Works for me.

I would water then till you get runoff out of the botttom of the plant. Then do not waster again till the top 2" of soil is dry. As far as lights I wouold go with the 400 watt one, and change the light cyle to 18/6.

i would run 18/6, just water with ph'ed water for the 1st week or so. don't feeding any nutes. then start with 1/4 to 1/2 strength and work up. if thats a 4oowtt mh then start useing that when you start feeding them. good luck

When do i start using the fan???nothing has sprouted out yet but when?

turn the fan on a few weeks after they pop up. Let them start a root base before you put too much air on them.

as soon as they sprout have a fan on low blowing on them while light are on lights off fan off too.
