I am trying to get a worm bin going, without much success. I bought 10.00 worth of night crawlers from my local bait store. I bought a shallow storage tote and put in shredded damp cardboard. I added the worms and they seemed to be doing fine for a couple of days, and then when I went to check this morning, they were all dead and decomposing....yuk. I have them on my porch which is mostly shaded, but it is 95 here during the day. Do you think they got too hot? Any tips would be appreciated...not trying to hijack

hmmmmm not really sure. Sounds like they overheated though. how big is this shallow tote? I'm not real sure how much roon they need. These were surviving indoors obviously, but they came from my compost pile (mostly just used soil mix). I always add around 50 lbs of my used soil (compost to my soil batches, so the worms get in like that. I never really had to try to get em' going, they were just there. You can turn a shovel load anywhere in my yard (clay mostly) and find 3-4 worms in it so I have a good headstart here.
And don't worry about hyjacking this thread...that's what it's here for.

View attachment 2206828View attachment 2206829View attachment 2206830View attachment 2206831man I suck at taking pics haha....oh well, you get the idea. This is the beginning of a new CDB project I'm starting. This is the CDB Crew, (Shanti) Sweet n Sour Widow. It's supposed to be 1/1 THC/CDB. Itook this one, and pollinated it with just about every good male I had available to get a variety of seeds to start out with. I'm gonna be talking to a guy on Monday, and am trying to set-up a deal to get all these phenos tested as I finish them. I'm hoping to come up with 2-3 different high CDB strains to work with. I want some to be high CDB, low THC, and I also want high CDB and THC strains.
I use a rubbing salve that I make on my joints and tendons for pain, and they work exceptionally well, but I know a high CDB strain would work even better for that application.
It will also be in high demand to the medical community.

Sounds awesome

hey man, kudos on the journal. I was reading through it and I was impressed. I'm interested in doing a similar set up, roughly around 7000 watts; 8500 when all is said and done with chillers etc. How do you manage to hide, or at least explain the electric? I was considering doing half of mine through the regular electric then the other half through the generator. Electric here is roughly 6 cents per kilo watt. I feel like anything over 220 would be shady. Any thoughts?

True. I have a few friends out in san fran that also say this, but don't you feel like the east coast would be a bit sketchy? I had a friend that worked for a company in philly and he said throughout his ten year career he witnessed three tip offs to police due to high electricity. I guess in the long run, roughly 260 a month really isn't that much. I'd be renting my friends house and getting a brand new bill placed in my name. So I guess as long as I start off high there's no reason to suspect anything.
