best overall high and hybrid > G13

some people say the chocolate rain has a chocolate taste to it, but i just didn't see it.. maybe it was the pheno i had..??

^ This has to be one of my biggest pet-peves of all time.... Chocolate strains.... there are NONE. period. people name thier shit chocolate in hopes people will buy it.

The closest thing i have ever smelled or tasted to a chocolate strain is a Coffee strain.... there are a Few strains out there that smell like coffee, but they usually don't taste to great.....

I don't know what you are talking about. I had chocolope and it was absolutely chocolate tasting. I even went to order a pack and it was sold out.

nice post corbalt.. i'm glad it's just not me then.. like i said, some peps have claimed that their chocolate rain tasted like chocolate, i just didn't see it in mine ....
and yah, some of the coffee tasting strains do almost have a chocolate taste to them as well.. i absolutely love the taste and smell of say pre98 bubba kush.. it has that awesome coffee smell and taste to it i love.. pretty potent as well imo..

i've never grown the chocolope, at least not yet, but it is half of the chocolate rain and i just didn't see it in the cr's i grew.. again, it could be pheno dependent of course..
i had originally wanted to grow the chocolope but it was out of stock every where for like a year or more, so i went with the chocolate rain in it's place..

i would have liked to have been around back in the day when chocolate thai was all the rage.. wonder if it really tasted like chocolate or not..

Definatly. i've been working on crossing my pre98 to diesel then back crossing it to Pre98 to preserve the taste / high. i figure Diesel is one of the better lines to preserve the Kush genetics.

Your definatly not the only one.... ALOT of people say the same thing about chocolate strains, there just Coffee strains renamed

Been working on ((Pre98xNYCDiesel)XPre98 )x (Pre98x Afghan kush) for the last 14 + Months trying to stabilize the seeds.... But since Pre98 and NYCD are seeded from hermies its turning out to be a challenge.... i want to make " Talibubba Kush" as bad as the name sounds, i figure it will hit like bricks when its done.....

sounds like some fire for sure corbat.. yummo.. i love me some diesel, and you already know i love bubba, lol..
i'm trying to think if anyone has this x out in seed form already.. i'm thinking someone does, but i'm drawing a blank on what breeder it is..
that's not to say i don't think you should work on it yourself as it sounds lovely imo.. i just made a few beans myself of purple berry diesel by cannaventure x c99 that sounds pretty nice to me as well..
