What's wrong with my plants?!?!?!

Hey all,

I'm a first time grower.

3 plants (2 indica, 1 sativa)
Black Gold Soil (5-0-0)
6 6500K CFL bulbs
Grow Big (2tsp/gal) (I water with GB every other day)
Big Bloom (3tsp/gal) (I water with BB every other day, the same days I water with GB)


I've had problems with my leaves turning yellow and then getting speckled brown spots that eventually spread to the whole leaf turning brown before I remove those leaves.

This problem used to only occur with the bottom leaves that don't get as much light as the larger leaves, however, this morning I had the same problem with a rather large leaf from the canopy of the plant.

go with Botanicare's Cal/Mag Plus. Its a good concentrated formula that always fixes my definciency problems with ease. prob around $15 for a good sized bottle at your local hydro shop

Do I have to be concerned about overusing the cal mag? Obviously, I would only use the 2tsp/gal mix, however, should I use it continuously throughout veg? Throughout the entire grow? Or should I stop once the leaves look good again?

I personally give it regular doses at intervals throughout the entire process. IDK if its necessary but I don't run into cal/mag issues ever. Also, I use the Botanicare's cal/mag and have never had issues with it should fix your problem.

I've had nute burn on my plants with that kind of nute dosage right off the bat. Looks like nute burn imo. Whats your pH?

Possible causes of chlorosis include poor drainage, damaged roots, compacted roots, high alkalinity, and nutrient deficiencies in the plant. Nutrient deficiencies may occur because there is an insufficient amount in the soil or because the nutrients are unavailable due to a high pH (alkaline soil). Or the nutrients may not be absorbed due to injured roots or poor root growth.
The lack of iron is one of the more common nutrients associated with chlorosis. Manganese or zinc deficiencies in the plant will also cause chlorosis. The way to separate an iron deficiency from a zinc or manganese deficiency is to check what foliage turned chlorotic first. Iron chlorosis starts on the younger or terminal leaves and later works inward to the older leaves. However, manganese and zinc deficiencies develop on the inner or the older leaves first and then progress outward. Plants need iron for the formation of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll gives leaves their green color and is necessary for the plant to produce the food it needs for its own growth. Iron is also necessary for many enzyme functions that manage plant metabolism and respiration. Iron becomes more insoluble as the soil pH climbs above 6.5 to 6.7 (7.0 is neutral - below 7.0, the pH is acidic; above 7.0, the pH is alkaline). With most plants, iron can only be absorbed as a free ion (Fe[SUP]++[/SUP]) when the pH is between 5.0 and 6.5.

Yellow leaf are symbol of attach of insects on the plants.
There is need of remove the insects through such such
insect killer which don't disturb the plants and keep them
grow well in future.

Check the PH of your soil to make sure that your plant is able to absorption nutrients is correctly. In short the PH of your soil is very important at different levels your plant cannot absorb certain critical elements which can cause different deficiencies.

I think some serious disease attack on your plants due to you have faced this problem. For removing these infected things you can use sprays which are easily available in market or you can get the services of an expert which are attached with this work professionally.
