Whats wrong with my girls ?

Hello,

I have a 5x5x7 Lighthouse grow tent with a Carbon filter fan from Can-Fan, as well I have a 600 watt super/HPS from Hortilux. The strains are White Rhino & Kalashnikova (Ak47-WhiteWidow) all from GreenHouse seed bank. So my question is whats the yellowing of the leaves? Could it be Light bleaching? I raised my light a few more inches as I saw this and I have just cut the affected leaves.

Also, when do you think I should flower? My tallest White Rhinos are 16 inches and the shortest WR is 7 inches do to shock, but I saved her! :)
Anyway so ya, just wondering what you guys think about colouring on the leaves and when would be the best time to flower to fill up my space without burning buds!

Thanks! IMG_6812.jpgIMG_6803.jpgIMG_6807.jpgIMG_6808.jpgIMG_6809.jpg

Looks like a burn of some kind. My guess is you sprayed something on them, during lights on, with the lights too close? The growth above the burns looks OK, which would suggest its not an ongoing problem.

  • i think the answer to your question is when do you want to flower.you could go ahead and flower now if you want to unless you want to grow them bigger.

I use those fabric pots too, i need to water every other, or every third day. Also with those pots, I find I give nutrients once every three waterings. I grow some big plants so i keep a higher ppm. Looks a little like cal mag def, try just watering and keeping the soil so it doesnt get bone dry. As far as flowering, I wait until about 18 to 24 inches, and topped multiple times during veg.

TrainWreck are you seriously asking that question.... Did you even see the photos? And they are about 8 weeks old, as well I think it was a nute lockout, just flushed them and they seem to be better! I think I did good by flower because this is my first time growing in this tent with new strains and seems to be that if they vegged anymore they could have gotten to high.

I use pro_mix and have the same problem. I think pro=mix don't need nutes until after the first 2 months of use.

Looks like some sort of cal mag problem either caused by not enough or ph lockout. What do u ph ur nutes to when feeding? I'd go with 5.8 if ur not already.

I would agree with some of the post here that it is burning of some kind.

I have seen this before but it is a hard one.... Nute burn is normally on the edges of the leaves.

Did you put nutes with water and spray it on them? if so don't, only ad your nutes when feeding, no need to nute feed with spray.

Second possibility but I think unlikely is heat damage, but I would have expected more to the top and your damage seem lower down. There is also some leaf curling.
When in doubt stop nutes altogether and just give water. With your medium you should go easy on nutes as it is stored in the soil. I would just give water for two weeks and see how they go.

I would not flower now. you need them to be healthier before you flower. In all they do not look bad. Try not to cut the leaves completely as you will lose yield. If a leaf look really bad then maybe trim it. But I would wait untill you have just given water for the two weeks as I suggested.

In all dont worry to much, as the plant gets older some leave do yellow and that is normal, so in all they do not look to bad, what you want to avoid if it is nute burn is damage to the roots thats why I suggest water with just water.

The way to do it is to really soak and then wait 4 days or so depending on your watering cycle and then do it again by soaking them. When you are ready to start using nutes again after say 14 days, go with 25% of what you have been using and then increase with every water untill you are up to 100% again, but maybe think of using half the nutes you did before, plants really dont need as much as most people say they do.

Good luck. :-)
