What's wrong with my babies?

Things are booming guys! Thanks for all of the help. I have a couple more questions though... I am about to use Uncle Ben's method for getting 4 colas and want to make sure I'm doing it properly... check the attached images. Also, do I have female pre-flower showing on that closeup?! It is starting to smell too! Here are some pics...

Oh, and that last Blue Snow Dog that I said I threw out... well it sat on my bathroom counter all day and I just didn't have the heart to toss it... well, it seems to have fully recovered! Getting the water level right and adjusting/topping ph daily and adding the heisenberg tea has really made things pop.

The top that I cut off after performing UB's method... can I try to use that as a clone? Make a sleeve and throw it in a bubble bucket with very little nutrients?

TLDR:
1. Is that the proper place to make the cut? I am not sure about very bottom node. The leaves are much smaller that what I am cutting off... Maybe that is part of the point.
2. Can I use the cut as is for a clone? it will have 3.5 nodes on it but pretty short and fat....
3. Is this plant showing signs of female? I think I see a few pistils?!!?

Well I was impatient and went with it. The method described as Uncle Ben's method.... i don't think the correct term is topping but it is supposed to deliver 4 or so main colas from the two underlying nodes.

It does look female though? Those pistils are next to impossible to see with my eyes, but the camera surprised me (was trying to get pic of something totally different).

Hope I didn't just screw her up.

Update to the topping. It seems to have went well. I think I will have 4 main colas now on the sexy female. The 2nd one is Mastodon as well but it has yet to indicate sex and hasn't been topped. The 3rd is the Blue Snowdog that I threw out. It was dried up leaves with tiny stem and just barely any green from miniscule new growth when it sat on my bathroom counter all evening after I "tossed" it. Shit, I couldn't give up! I was finally figuring things out... so I mixed up fresh rez for it and it's back from the dead baby!

I keep finding tiny pieces of root in my res. It is pretty turbulent in the bucket but I heard you couldn't have too much air. I'm running 2 air lines (4 air stones) to each 5 gal bucket from the 40 lpm pondmaster. Are the breaking roots a problem? It isn't massive but a few tiny pieces in each rez...

not hating on ya buddy but honestly i have my at 250 to 300 ppm at @ .5 scale at this stage i tried more and burned them resembling yours and and later mimmicked mg def just like ya bigger if u ask me i think the biggest one is probz doing best because it can tolerate the nutes better than the other ones and there looking better than at the start because they are growing into the nute strentgh which like mentioned b4 is a bit strong just my opinion tho and i under hid light in dwc exactly like yours

I don't think I've seen any nutrient burn?

If I had used minimal nutes instead of NO nutes from the star, I think they would be bigger. But this is my first grow and I'm learning so I'm not worried that it isn't fast enough. The biggest had 4 of 6 nodes chopped off just 48 hours prior to that picture.

The other 2 was set way behind by poor rockwool and water level positioning.

So here they are... little over 2 weeks later. The big one in the middle is overtaking the others. I just confirmed the 3rd one to be female as well. I'm afraid the shorter plants won't get enough light... the 3rd one has not been topped at all.

The 2nd bushiest one was topped and It started to get the clawing of tips and had really dark leaves... Nitrogen toxicity is what I self-diagnosed after some research. I cut the nutrients down to 1 tsp maxi grow which = about 250 ppm with my tap water. I'm not sure how badly that stunted her growth.

How long do you think until I should start 12/12? I've tried LST the but I need a proper fastener... I was a little medicated and thought I found the perfect clip for the bucket lid and tieing down the plan to... except I couldn't get the fucking lid off to add water without undoing all 4 clips. haha

Your plant is undernourished. You should really get your EC between 1.2-1.4 straight from the beginning. Do not start off in DWC with plain water. Seriously, just start off with EC of 1.2 next time and you will see how much healthier the plants are from the start..
some sound advice when i diff dwc i always started the babys at 600 ppm and do the same with coco. Your not in soil sp that 2 weeks with no good doesn't apply to you

hey guys need some help... i hear alot of crap about rockwool and damn i didnt no lol. i just put down two germ seeds into small rockwool cubes. im watering them with water and leaving them under 20 hours of light .. i plan on transferring them to my 5inch net put dwc bucket. im going to be using the flora series gh nutes . when should i start nutes and how do i go about transferring them to dwc because this rockwool is too small for the net pot i think.

Start nutes when they have true leaves. The size of the rockwool doesn't make a difference.

okay.. also do i remove the side wrapping when i place them in the 5 inch pot netting i plan on putting the rockwool at the bottom for the roots to reach the water.

Why are they stretching? LED too weak or just poor sativa genetics? (plant on right primarily)

Yes, plus in hindsight the clones were too big when I got them. I've been shifting lights around. There's 3 of the old advanced panels in the middle plus an a51 xgs190 over the soil plants in the first pic and an rw150 on the opposite side not pictured.

The sativa strain has been cloned for more than 10 years.

What sativa strain is it? And why keep it for over 10 YEARS? The plant's vigor and original qualities have diminished.
