Ok so i have a bubbler system set up thats roughly the size of my shoebox. The aquatic bubbler is about 5" and the plastic box is spray painted flat black on the outside. I have a beautiful female mother that i take wonderful 3-5 inch clones from. The temp stays a steady 75 degrees. I use 4 60w cfl daylight bulbs btwn the clones and the mother so its not too much lighting. I also change the water every 3-5 days. Now why is it that my clones won't root and they usually get root rot in about 5-8 days?

do you let them dry out?
i let them dry out till just before they look wilted. then i water real lightly.
the drying out is what makes them look for roots.
also hwta is the humidity, also folior feeding with a weak b2 complex. the mother and the cutting while taking them.
the plain water once a day. remove dome after 5 to 7 days.
i usually get 100% rooted in 6 to 10 days.

I use rapid rooters in my bubbler and I see the same thing, I need to let it dry out, too dry for a short while and then a few days latter I have roots.

Also for me the thick stems are easier to clone.

no i don't let them dry out they are partially submerged in water... ie: bubbler cloner. also i forgot to mention that the water is ph'd to btw 6.3-6.8 because i transplant to soil afterwards.

no body else has any ideas????

Exactly. If you are using a mister system which it sounds like you water then you leave the plant hanging above the water and let your sprayer heads spray water at the stems. You should get roots in 7-14 days like that. I use stink bud's aeroponic cloner and it works awesome. 100% success every time.
