What's with the ridiculous yield claims on seed packaging?

Why so defensive??

I've seen quite a few bags, pots and bowls and no matter how dense - and I mean no hostility - that does look far from 280 gram "dry". How much did it weight 2 days later? ;) Maybe it's a freakishly large bowl and scale and the picture is misleading.

Well the pictures are there.

I weigh pre-cure. Come on who doesn't.

Granted it will loose some weight during curing but I ain't dumping out 15.6 oz to weigh it once its jarred and then cured.

And I'm a little hostile because I'm beginning to get sick of the negativity on this forum.

I'm showing pics related to what the OP asked about re m2 area and unachievable yields and I'm getting shot down even with proof.

If fucking ceases to amaze me.

I'm beginning to wonder why I came back to help.

Ok, that explains indeed. And for the record, I'm not saying it's less, just that based on those picture I can see why the other guy, perhaps a bit too blunt, questioned it. I guess those buds are extremely dense then.

I weight pre-cure as well but it's just not uncommon that people are so eager to weight it they are on the early side to put it gently.

And screw the trolls, majority of people posting are just here to help and/or learn.

For the record I dry my buds until they are crispy but the main stem they grew from still has a little bend to it. Not too much. Just so that the cut end of the branch begins to crack if you pinch it.

This is at the point that I weigh it.

Just check my link out. Its only 6 pages long. Starts from week1 of 12/12.

I show trimming pics with lighters on too of piles for reference of their size before drying.

I know not everyone on here is negative.

People are too quick though IMO to shoot you down.

It seems as though that old saying "pics or it didn't happen" is gonna have to change to "unless I'm there with you it don't mean shit"

Lol.

15 ounces from a 400 watt hps , ? did you weigh it wet and with your thumb on it or high ? I see people using 1000 watts 75 degrees 35 % humidy , ac co2 every thing running, fans, best nutes soil and years of experience, average 6 to 12 ounces, at the most indoor grow ive seen was 6 month veg 28 ounces 1 plant, 2 thousand watts hps, 30 gallon pots mr ganga got 15 ounces from a 400 watt bulb, any belivers in this ? mabe he weigh the entire pot soil and all

Search for a grower on here called DANTHEBULL his first ever grow with 3x600w and 24plants with Co2 and AC he pulled 104.3oz.

My log of the flowering thread is linked within this thread.

It was dried for 6days in 35%RH 17C the buds were crispy when being weighed.

My thumb was not on the scale and it was not wet.

The bowl weighed 180g. I placed the bowl in the scale and zero'd it.

I'm sorry you don't believe that my 4x2ft plants got me that amount.

They were clones from a guy I know that's had this strain around 2years.

IT WAS NOT FROM SEED.

If the people you've seen use 1000w and only get between 6-12oz from their entire harvest then they are doing something wrong.

From a 1000w I would expect at least 750g.

Any less than 750g with 1000watter then something went very wrong (ok, maybe low yield strain as exception).

I got 0.96 gr/watt on 1m2 last run, no boosters or additive, fully organic, no PH meter/minus. Though in half/quarter-pipe scrog. pre-veg with TL 3x18w( not included in gr/w result), veg and sex with 400watt hps, then the rest (visible flowering) with 600watt. Got 529 gr from 5 plants.

You are claiming to have pulled over a pound off 2 autos with a 400 watt system? Yeah right.
1.1lbs, grown in 5 gal pots scrogged, I also had 100w hps underneath and two 9w 6400k CFL's on each side for most of the flowering period!
And I could care less if you believe me or not, i don't need your approval! I've got a grow thread on it if you care to bother!

I personally always tell new growers to aim for 0.5g/w while they are learning their craft.

So in your case aim to yield 300g. Anything more is a bonus.

Keep them as healthy and green as you can, control your temps and make sure you have good air exchange along with plenty of air movement inside.

Here is a pic of a bud I just snapped on my phone to show.

so the more watts from the hps in bloom stage the bigger the yield how much you guys think ill get out this set up i have im still in veg but when i swiitch to 600w hps for plants here is the journal link https://www.rollitup.org/blogs/543946-northwest13.html
Not necessarily true, it depends on many other factors as well; too many factors to really give an estimation. I do know it's greatly important to have a large healthy root system, don't over water/don't underwater, don't over feed, give good air circulation, keep temps and humidity in proper range, and talk them them! ;)

thats a nice bud right there what strain is that ive seen big ass buds but all fluffy super fluffy i prefer to try and get my buds to look like that is that from curing it right? or the nutes that make them like that? i know it depends on strain but if you dont do it right you end up with fluffy no weighing buds or all molded up

All I know about that strain is that its some form of blueberry cheese.

IMO dense hard nugs come from a well controlled environment, balanced feeding, good light, plant training and PATIENCE.

Its too tempting to over do nutes when you first start.

Less is more.

Are you using a soiless mix? Did I read that in your blog?

If so soiless can be fed every time as long as you monitor feed strengths going IN vs feed strength coming OUT as runoff.

The people that aren't believing it is possible (let alone probable and quite common) are missing a key ingredient in their grow. Not enough light, CO2, something.....

My first grow in years with a system and strain that was new to me: 525 grams from 1 square metre. 4 plants. Journal https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/558029-bcnl-producer-meets-scrog-meets.html

Second grow with same set-up and # of plants:m Bigger yield than the last grow based on how many jars it is currently curing in. Final weigh-in is two weeks away as I wait until the cure is done before posting my numbers. Journal https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/591014-harder-better-faster-stronger-800w.html
