If senators don't get prosecuted for shit like this, no one will have any respect for the rule of law.
if senators don't get prosecuted..period.

i'm really tired of this shit.

proposal: senator salary = current minimum wage of the district

proposal: 3rd term presidential

these people are worse than monarchy..they figure heads only and do nothing for the american people they are voted into office by..when was the last time a corporation got to cast a vote? and yet money flowz and corporations growz..WTF? enough already! everyone touts our wonderful constitutional system yet it's fraught with gridlock that dates back to ??????? 1776:lol:

has no one looked back to see what politcal cartooning was in 1776? 1850? 1929? 1960?..it's all the same shit STILL..

actually, it was his wealthy wife's family, where incidentally, mitch old man, accumulated all his wealth..from his wife:lol:
Right, to be fair. Power PUBs generally marry wealth, and DEMs are typically self made Lawyers or Tech giants.

So you want the type of people min wage jobs attract to run for Senate?

Think this one through. The founders talked about NO PAY but decided that would exclude too many people.

It's not the salary that's the problem, many of them take pay cuts to serve, it's the legalized bribery that's the problem.

You are asking the best and the brightest to work for min wage or you want min wage workers to represent you in congress. Do you see any issues that might cause?

Not at all and you are correct. The guy scrubbing floors at Wendy's is much more qualified than the guy who founded Wendy's.

Your way will definitely attract motivated talented people to give up lucrative careers to "serve".

You seem to think the salaries of congressmen is billions or something. They make less than a rookie riding the pine in the MLB or NBA.

A. Because he's a billionaire donor.

B. Every vacation destination has a history of call girls, even the classiest- hell, ESPECIALLY the high class places, because those people have money!

Next?
This isn't a "vacation destination". It's a private island. Kind of like a big brothel surrounded by a moat.

See 'billionaire donor'. I'm sure more than a few Repub donors have skeletons in their closet.
So you excuse the "everyday vacation" of Clinton by claiming someone else might have done a bad thing too? Just admit that if Clinton raped a goat on live TV you wouldn't find any fault in that, either.

they should live on the same wage as their constituents.

EDIT: would you like to bet how quickly they would vote for a constituent increase in wages?

Wow, sounds like a vacation destination to me :hump:
like a "private" mens club here in SF..we have them everywhere surrounded by fences and strange lighting at night, reminds me of the "mens club" of stepford wives..lit in a strange bluish light..creepy looking if you ask me.

Think I'll let you have this one. You've dug in and I learned a long time ago with women that it's best to pick my battles.

If it makes sense to you, that's all that matters.
