What's the different of light intensity in different plants stage?

As we all known, light is very important factor for the plants'photosynthesis. The plants may need different light intensity in different plant stage.

Here are some recommened PPFD data:
Plants stage PPFD
Seeding 200-400
Vegetative 400-600
Flowering 600-1000

Do you agree the above? Or you have different standard?

I got all my sections set at 230 ppfd, I started off at 150 and then when they opened up I turned up the ppfd to 230, Ill hold this number until I see true leaves and then Ill start to dial up the ppfd based on the proposed charts :)

I love this par meter, I use it a lot more then I thought I would.

I was bored so I went ahead and adjusted all the lights again..

I figured I'd up the ppfd a bit more, was able to do it by adjusting hanging heights.

Got to love this par meter.

@HippieFarmer420 Glad this could help! Looking forward to more shares! Thanks! :)

I'm curious what some of your thoughts are regarding reducing DLI mid-late flower. Do y'all keep it cranked till the end or start reducing it at some point?

i think theoretically those numbers can be alot higher if the rooms co2 concentration is hovering between 1400 and 1500 ppm

If you are growing an autoflower plant under 24/h light and flowering do you still recommend 600-1000 ppfd? Or is this where DLI comes into play? My understanding is DLI is a better way to judge how much PPFD at what stage

reason why you use less in veg then flower is the hours … 18/6 use less PPFD CAUSE OF LONGER HOURS OF LIGHT .. 12/12 hrs of light use more PPFD cause of less hours … but again need more light cause of it fruiting too…if that makes sense ..with an auto flower I would use 400-600 PPFD in veg and when you see it start to flower then start to dial it up till you see the max ( watch how the plant reacts ) ..

@NoHorseBlankets Well, it really depends on the plant's needs. Some plants need more light and some growers found cannabis plants respond better when cycling the intensity from low to high and back to low during the flowering period.

for simplicity, I use DLI; that is my point
Daily Light Integral takes into account the hours in a day

It’s my most used grow tool. Far more than my EC meter. If you run LED I highly recommend one. Mine was less than $200.

I was starting to feel left out with everyone and their grow tents, so I went and got a 5ft x 10ft grow tent that I will use as one of my vegging areas, now I need to get some lights to fill it up lol..

I dont seem to do anything on smaller scales for some reason.

be careful going on a big scale with a single light, you might want to consider multiple fixtures for multiple stages of growth/ different dimming to save $$$!

that's my dream tent!!

I've got over 10 different lights between leds and hids, I'm sure I will get some light in there :)
