I first before i cut down the tree i remove all the large fan leaves. Then chop down and cut all branches off and hang to dry. After 3-7 days depending on nug size ( stem should " snap " when broken ) Then i remove and put in a paper bag for another day or so. After the paperbag i put the buds through another manicure and put in jars. While in the jar i will open the jar 2 times a day minimum to let fresh air in the jars and remove the stagnant chlorophyll air. I would do this for a week and after that you can leave the jar tightly sealed. Depending on the strain you can start smoking immediately or you may have to wait up to 6 weeks. Also remember when drying to do this in a dark cool area the slower the dry the smoother the smoke, also make sure there is adequate ventilation. also the mason jar for the cure should be kept in a dark area as well. Good luck

It really depends what you're looking for.
If you have intent to sell I would NOT recommend water curing as you lose weight, smell, look, etc.
If it is for personal use and you want a nice smooth smoke, than indeed water curing might be your method.
I guess I'll post my methods for both so you can choose. One second.

[FONT='Calibri','sans-serif']Drying/Curing: First cut off all the leaves surrounding the buds and the tips of the leaves coming out of the buds. (should wear powder free latex gloves) Drying should be done in a DARK environment in less than 80 degrees. Hang buds upside down by a string with a fan running at all times. Humidity around 50% if possible. Dry for 1-2 weeks or until the stems snap off without bending. Place buds in glass containers up to 75% full and place in a dark place. Burp the containers by fanning your hands and turn the buds 2-6 times daily (twice) for the next 7-10 days. The marijuana will be good for storage for 2-3 months without opening containers. WEEEEEEEEEED :-D

*Water Curing: Submerge buds in glass jars for 7 days, refilling with warm water every day. Keep jars in a dark place. Leave lids off. Needs to dry quickly so it doesn’t mold, hang next to a dehumidifier.

hey thank you all for the help. I think I will go with the hang drying them then I'll cure them in the mason jars. That's the method I planned on using but I didn't know the exact process. The water method really scares me so I'm gonna try it out using a few buds and if I like it I'll do more next time. Thanks again for the help. I'll post some pics soon and some more when they're done to let you guys know how they turn out.
