whats the absolute longest i want to let my plant go?

yeah i'm stil very frigthened about ordering seeds, last thing i need to do is get caught.

so i am going away the 11th of jan for two weeks.

i need to have her cut down hung and in jars by that day at least.

so if i figure 5 days hanging then jar.i need 15 days before that... hmm.. cutting it close...


ok so just looked at calculator... this is technically my 10th week of flowering (monday will be 10 weeks)

so if i chop it on the 4th that will give me 84 days... and still have 6 days to hang in closet.


i can bring it with me in the jars to burp while i'm away, i just wont have anyone to take care of it for me if i leave.

think that will be enough?

How long are you gonna be away for. I'd say chop the night before you leave and dry while your gone. If your not careful you could ruin your whole entire crop by not burping and creating mold.

Dope seeds has better prices and is overall cheaper. You don't get free seeds like the attitude and it takes a bit longer to get your package but its worth it for the price. The attitude does a much bigger selection but it also comes at a higher price.

thank you for the help. im in an apt so this is my last grow till i decide to stop living off unemployment, get a job, and then get a house. (gosh i love the gov't and unemployment!) maybe 6 months, if i really try haha, but i am gonna save this and try.

i'm going to be gone from the 11th or 12th to the 17th of jan, i would rather not bring the jars with me but have no one trust to burp em, so i'm gonna have to.

i just don't know who would be reliable that wouldn't pinch lol.


EDIT: here is the question i should be asking.... this is my second time chopping a plant (first was thanksgiving on plant started same day, and it was WAYYYYY too early)

the first time i dried it.... i had it in a dark closet, with the closet open just a tiny tiny bit, with a fan in the closet (reasonable size closet) but the fan wasn't blowing on the pot. so... the humidty in my grow box (which probably should be the most humid place in my apt) is only about 25-35% at any time ever.

i'm thinking this time i should not have a fan in the closet? the weed just dried out too fast, i'm assuming because of the low humidty and dry heat we have here...

i'm afraid to leave it a full week in the closet with out attendance because of mold

Its not gonna mold if your conditions are dry, while drying. It will only mold if you put the buds in the jar to soon while they are still wet and don't burp them enough. True burping calls for leaving the buds out of the jars for 2-3 hours. What happens when you put dried buds into jars is this. When the lid is shut the buds draw any remaining water from the stem into the buds. When you take the buds out for burping the water seeps back into the stem and out into the air. Doing this will ensure an even dry and no moldy buds. Make sure you bring a cardboard box to set the buds in while your burping them. It'll make the room smell a bit so try and do it while your sleeping if your worried about people smelling it.

the first week burp atleast twice a day second week once a day third day once every other day. After that leave the jars shut till the 4 week mark.

well my girl just called and it looks like were now going the weekend of the 15th so thats a full week more.... i think i should be set then with that time frame! aweosme

worse comes to worse, you are saying i really wouldn't have to worry about leaving it just hanging in the closet?

If your saying your climate inside and outside is dry then no I don't see why you would. Keep the lights off and a fan in the room for air circulation. Not blowing right on the buds like below them is good.
