I dont know what size i shud put my 5 babies in for there final transplant.. why dont u tell me what size pots u would use on this occasion!? I want to yield at least 50 grams each plant, even more if possible! I was think like 17 litre pots? 24 litre? thanks

ps, is it better to transplant a couple times before tranplanting to the largest and final pot?

thanks!

it depends mostly on the height you have at your disposal, I grow in 6 liter pots and get about 120 cm high plants

one of my plants is in 12 liter pot and it got about 160 cm high, so I had to tie it down to be the same height as the others

but then again, I vegged only for 3 weeks from seed, so plants could have grown even taller in those 6 liter pots, if I've left them for another week or so

besides taller plant a bigger pot will also be able to support more green mass, in case you do lst, sog or similar

17 liters will probably be more than enough for an indoor grow

try NOT to transplant more than once, each transplant is SHOCK to the plant, more or less
I don't usually transplant, only on very rare occasions

Ok and how much did u yield each plant? and whats light were u using? i have a good 2 metres of height so its not much of a problem.. what height were they when u started flowering? thanks

Yield depends mostly on the strain and growing skills, and generally is light-limited, except when you don't have enough plant mass to absorb the light.

I also use 400W HPS

My strain is not too big producer, like most sativa dominant strains, I get about 0.7 grams per watt, or about 47 grams per plant on average for a total of 280 grams dry, manicured and cured - that was last crop, this time, despite the shorter plants I hope I get a little more, cause I included some skunk genetics to see how it will turn out

My tent is also 2 meters, but I have to move soon so I decided to cut one week time, started flowering when the girls were about 35-40 cm tall

The strain I grow goes easily to 180+ cm if left to veg longer, most indica strains however won't go over 120, 150 for hybrids

Forgot to mention - I use plagron soil and some "Advanced hydroponics of Holland" nutes

Sweet, well im growing indicas so ill take ur advice and veg them to about 40cm and hope they max out no more than 150cm, u say ur growing under 400w hps also, did u veg underneath the same light?
And if so did it only take you 3 weeks to get to 35cm?
Im feeling more comfortable now to go for 11 litre pots if it doesnt make much diffence to the size and yield of the plants...

Yep, I only use that 400W HPS throughout the whole grow

Those plants I grow are really fast starters, my previous grow they were even faster, this time they were a little bit slower, due to the skunk father, but they seem to be compensating in bud size

It is a WEED, and if the conditions are right, it will grow like crazy, I see many people here that have 4 weeks old plants that look smaller than my at day 5, but thats all due to overwatering/ high or low temps/ poor lightning - those are the most frequent mistakes when starting

You can also try some LST - you don't really need tall plants, and with indica you have very good conditions to make really bushy plants, and the good thing about bushy plants is that all colas are closer to the light, with a tall plant you get only one main cola that is close to the light, and the rest of the side branches are lower, and light decays in quadratic rate with distance - since light will be the most determining factor for yield you are far better with bushes instead of tall plants, the plants will be able to absorb more light and make bigger buds

search the forum for LST (low stress training) if you don't know what that is

Yes i understand the concept of LST, never done it before... though i have had to tie a plant down before coz it was taller than the others..I think our grows will be very similar since we have pretty much the same setup so i will view ur threads in the future to compare/ask questions.. thanks alot for your help i will give +rep to you
