This is from my journal

Day 19 Veg

It's almost on week 3 of veg and I am still running 18/6 under a 150 Watt CFL.
I have re-added my nutes, and have come up with a ph of around 6.0.
The leaves are kind of droopy still.
The leaves kind of feel dry.
Some are yellow, but I clip them off when I notice.
The stems right before the leaf begines, is red/purple ish.
I am still misting 2 times a day. I just added nutes into the resuvuar and sprayer today.
(Leaves get more droopy when I stop misting for a day.)
And on 1 plant, the leaves are tweekin out. It has like folded itself in half.
Heres a pic:

Please leave comments, opinions, useful information, + or -.

I will appreciate it, Thanks.

Looks like a PH imbalance. Possibly a nutrient lockout too... check your PH a few times a day, maybe lower it a bit to 5.5-5.8. Though 6.0 should be good too... Hmm... what are you using to measure your ph levels?

The rockwool looks dry, too. Do you have the water level in your res high enough? It should be right underneath the mesh pot, so that the rockwool and the young roots inside are getting enough of a bath.

I looked at your grow journal... that bulb is waaaaay too far from the tops of your plants. The great thing about CFLs is that they produce very little heat. While I wouldn't recommend having it too close to the younglings, two or three inches should suffice. Having the light so far away will cause the little ones to stretch too much.

i was just using water then i changed to nutes, then back to water.
thats probly why that1 is tweekin out.
im using this ph thing that came with my system. you drop 2 drops into a lil tester and what color is the ph. they also provide a color - # sheet.

The plants roots are already out of the pots, in the resuvuar.
There is a line that shows where you should fill up to, and that is always to the line.

As you can see in my post on page 3, I moved my lights to 3.5" above the tallest plant.

Agreed with SS, pH 6.0 is a tick high, but especially in rockwool, which is naturally a little alkaline. I use rockwool floc (only) in pots in my flood system; I shoot a little closer to 5.3-5.5 to compensate for the alkalinity of the rockwool.

ILB, I think you're right that the abrupt change to non-pH adjusted tapwater, which usually runs 7.5-8 around here, could have upset the apple cart a bit.

A good pH meter would be a wise investment. Eutech sells some durable waterproof meters. Bluelab, maker of the famous Truncheon nute meter, is now making a pH meter with the Truncheon bar-graph display, which you can read at arm's length.

the water i use from has a ph of probly 6.1 - 6.5 without nutes.
yeah i was thinking so, but its too expensive.

ILB, the colour-match pH kit will get you reasonably close, but do save your pennies. You could buy three pH meters for what you'd get for selling one of your ozs.
