whats going on ?

So im forced to use this 600 watt hps bulb for veg till i get a bulb. In a 2 foot by three closet and a few cfls i used to use last grow looks like its hot just wanted to see what u guys thought

I'm not sure they are doing terrible but that is a lot of watts for two plants in such a small area and way more than they need right now. If you could get 2 foot fluorescent lights that would be plenty for plants that size. If things begin to go south you will be paying a premium to fry your plants in that much heat with the 600w light as the light is very intense you really need chemistry to be firing. As far as using cfl goes you can certainly do that I would make reflectors out of aluminum foil or disposable foil burner liners if you can find a good cheap one locally. At very least I would say use a mh light.

Yeah also should say i just transplanted like a day ago so under alot of stress im sure. My second grow. So any ideas are helpful not gonna take it as being rude

Thats my last cfl grow three ladies little over two O's of dry bud but i wanted to try with a 600 watt but my buld wont be here for anothwr few days so i just using a flowering buld till then buddy said could help . idk just learning

What's the temps in °c? Have you transplanted to a bigger pot recently. And have you tested your soil pH?

They were around 84 now 81 kinda high gotta figure a few things out and i just transplanted in the pots they r in two days ago. And i gotta get a tester

Were they root bound? Could be that she's just recovering from the move.

My little seedlings have been in 16-28°c most of the time. They're pretty hardy.

Yeah they were a little root bound cuz they were in solo cups so long some leafs have a thick textured look too em but the new ones look very healthy

She was probably just hungry and stuck in a tiny cup too long. Should be fine in no time.

Update they were fine been growing just cant get my temps down under 82 gotta figure something out any ideas i dont got alot to spend on this grow all in pretty much so open to ideas

Box fan....if you are desperate and hard up enuff. 82 degrees isn't that horrible of a temp anyway, I don't believe!!

Thx man means alot been just doing what i can to keep it at low also is using the hps bulb still a good idea while vegging jist gotta wait another week till i can get the other mh bulb kinda sucks they r still doing okay tho

I'd either buy 4 more 100w cfls (if funds allow because it's only for a week) or keep the 4 U have right up on them and set that hps a little higher than U normally would and run it too....I'm sure they would be ok with U mixing a little red and blue, at least for a week....anything to get more than what just those 4 cfl's are capable of giving 2 plants! However, this is just a suggestion....if you are in an unvented closet or whatever and having heat issues already, I definitely wouldn't up the temps with any more heat from extra bulbs

All i do now is keep the hps on as much as i can depending on how hot the room gets but have started too for most the day temps r around 83 will on door open and one big fan and a small then a unit that using water and ice to put cold air out temps go between 80 85 they r growing thats for sure i know that goong to get a mhbulb soon too tho wanna lst em too and grow em in five gallon pots try to get em size of my closet.

Just gotta try too figure out my ventilation a little better cuz im kinda broke at the moment

As mentioned above by TF Leary I too have noted that you have to move the lights back when the temps are outside of ideal. I learned through trial/error to always watch the plants closest to the light but I definitely try to keep them close. I can't answer the distance for a 600w light for flowering I run open hood 600w for veg sometimes but it's a cold here at night already, I run fluorescent veg year round but I don't flower in the summer months.
