I would use a hose, or a gallon container and rinse, rinse, rinse. Pull it off with your hand, etc. Also, I use 3ml per gallon as a preventative. You should be changing your water once per week and using aquashield at every change out.

I never did anything other than just add the stuff and change out water at end of 5 days but not the same setup so probably what BF says would work great
