Whats going on here?

Hiya
This is a DP Polar Lights #3 Auto (ruderalis x haze) in DWC. She's had a rocky trip, issues with nitrogen tox early on. After a 3 day flush she showed signs of deficiencies, I sarted feeding her, at first with a nute that had no N, then Canna Hydro Flores. Took her up 100ppm every day, waiting for it to drop before raising it again and she's at 1200 now and thats stable.
But clearly she's not 100% happy, one branch has weird spots, but only that branch. RH/Temps all normal, pH 5.7 - 6.3.
I honestly dont know if its a deficiency, or the opposite, nute burn ... or something else??
Ive some vague memory of reading that sativas can be a bit finnicky with feeding...
Any ideas?
Cheers!!

To me looks like sulfur, calcium, and magnesium deficiency.

Wait for others but that’s what I see

Pic 2 is why I said Sulfur

Is this for autos? Scared? I think we’re all a little “scientist”ish. That’s why we’re here. I will watch that’s the second time I’ve seen that video posted.

No probably for photo but the theory is the same, I don’t grow auto plants

from what I’ve read the removing of fan leaves is way different for autos. But this might work who knows. I’m going to watch it and try it on one of my autos.

Your not growing leaves your growing bud. Check this video out. It’s terrifying at first but results are fucking amazing.

Don’t be scared
Around 10:40 in that he says doing this sort of trimming shouldn't be done if buds have started forming. Just had a very quick look, need to read more but seems maybe defoliate autos if it's it's still vegging but if it's flowering then leave it...
Cheers!

She's had additional CalMag and a bit of epsom salts and she seems ok. Whatever it is i dont think its affecting her too badly, buds seem to be forming well...she's 9 weeks and has been budding for about 2. How does she look to you guys?

Well she's still not 100%. Very hard to please this chick. Seems more uniform now, browning at tips. Potassium deficiency? She's at about 1500 which is very high, so its hard to imagine its a deficiency...? From the pix ive looked at, nute burn looks similar to P def so im reluctant to throw more P at her incase it is burn. Otherwise she's looking fine i reckon...

Sometimes too much nutrients can be present causing a lockout. So it has symptoms of deficiency but really the nutrients are too high. I’ve experienced that one.

Just skimmed through so may have missed something?
But I’ve grown in dwc for about 4 years.
Could be a number of things.
Main thing I see is deficiencies and toxicity.
From my experience this is usually from lockout, If it were me, I would first start with calibrating ph pen and ensuring ph is in range,
Then dump your bucket, wash it out and rinse your roots. Fill bucket with water and use base nutes only at half strength for now.
It’s more than likely salt build up in your res causing lockout.
An easy way I have found to know this is when the plant drinks water but doesn’t uptake nutes.

Brill thank you. Sounds like a plan. A sort of half flush. Tbh she was kinda stable at 1200 but i just kept pushing it up, its been 1500 and rising for a few days now so yes some toxicity/lockout very possible.
Cheers! :bigjoint:

Not a half flush, empty all the water out of your bucket and rinse bucket out, rinse off air stones and air lines that have been in the water. The roots hold a lot of the salt so make sure you wash the roots out with fresh water and dump everything that’s been rinsed off.
Fill your bucket up with fresh water, add base nutes at half strength and adjust ph.
Try running 800ppm for a couple of days, really free up the root zone and make the plant a little hungry then slowly up the ppms and monitor ppm before you top off bucket and after (before adding nutes to desired ppm) that way you will get to know how the plant is drinking/feeding.

the salt build up is from your nutrients, the stronger you run your ppms the more salts you are adding and you will need to do bucket change outs more frequently especially if ppms are too high for the plants requirements.
Hope that helps shiva

My last auto run did same thing. In soil. Couldn’t figure her out. Eradicated mites early on and it was one thing after another. Leaves looked identical. Flushed - lowered nutes - ph was perfect I just couldn’t stop the yellowing.
