My old camera is f_____ed for taking good closeups. I'm thinking of getting one of those USB microscope/endoscope cameras to take some good pics of my grows.

Can anyone recommend a CHEAP USB microscope camera that will get the job done? Thanks!

I just bought that one, though I'm not sure if it's a Chinese copy or not, but I figure it'll work fine and I got it for less than 20$ with free shipping...

This is the purchase I did:

SCRAP that.
I got a cheap chinese copy and so far I haven't been able to get it to focus properly and the only pictures that are anywhere near visible are at x50. The LED also flickers a lot...

See these pictures to see the quality of pictures it can take...
These are the best 3 I got out of maybe 50 pictures and it wasn't easy to get them. Most are too blurred by far...

I have a cheap handheld and a cheap USB scope
.....I almost never use the USB scope. My little Radio Shack scope tells me everything I need to know

For a USB miscroscope that'll help with looking at trichomes I use one one of these Gro1's:
http://shop.gyostuff.com/Gro1-Digital-Microscope-300x-999010.htm?categoryId=-1 .

Plugs right into my comp and I've never had an issue with it. It's got a suction cup and arm stand so you can stick it on a desk, but honestly the cord is long enough that I've carried it right into the garden to check things out. Some people think it's overkill as most people I see use a 60x/100x, but honestly I find it's been worth it since I'm never doubting what is clear/cloudy.
