I remember hearing about it on Bill Maher, but I don't know what happened to it as of yet...does anyone else?
Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act of 2008

from what i've found - the bill was 'cleared' meaning - since it did not get passed by the end of the 2008 session - it was removed from the books.. the bill had 5 cosponsors so it is likely that it will be reintroduced under a new number at an unknown time...

yeah they were supposed to resubmit it, but have yet to do so. Not sure when neither cause Barney is in charge of the financial committee or something, so I'm sure he is staying pretty busy

Wow...
That would be one of the first worthwhile things ol Barney's ever done.

I'm sorry, did I say that out loud?

It will surely be an issue in the 2010 elections. There is a host of things that will prevent those in office now from being reelected and I think that the legalization bill will be used by them to keep their jobs. Not by itself, but it will become a campaign issue next year, and again for Obama in 2012 (if we are still capitalistic by then). :(
