Think before you answer as legalization puts joe blow and his family out of a job but allows you to have it when you want it. There are good and bad that would come from both...just wondering what the people think.
What would you prefer legalization or just decriminalization?

I would say decriminalization is the way to go because it would'nt be accessible by all, of course having to go through the proper channels to acquire it legally. Nobody would have to lose their jobs as there is currently a thriving medical marijuana industry in thirteen states.Think before you answer as legalization puts joe blow and his family out of a job but allows you to have it when you want it. lol it would be awesome to have our herb in a coffee shop but since they have banned cig smoking in shops and bars i think it would be more than legalizing it to make that happen

Decriminalization all the way. It keeps it out of the hands of government. My problem with legalization is that it may lead to taxation, which grows government. Anything that grows government is undesirable. The "Legalize and Tax" crowd are impatient and reckless, just trying to get what they want regardless of the consequences.

In all honesty This statement is....kinda dumb. LEGALIZATION is the way to go, decriminalization wouldn't be bad of course....but marijuana IS supposed to BE decriminalized already...in my state at least, and still, it sure doesnt seem like it is! If you guys think legalization will have these terrible consequences, then you are simply misinformed, or believing something that is false...all this BS about "ohhh the taxes will be too high"..."ohhh the quality of weed will diminish"..."ohhh it will cause a water crisis because everyone will be growing weed"..."ohhh the tax can't be enforced because everyone will be growing weed"..."ohh we wont be able to make money off it anymore and we'll be poor!"....Ive heard alllllll the arguments against legalizing(from potheads), and they are all paper thin if you ask me, its all hearsay...and if it was legalized it wouldnt even interfere with medical marijuana laws, and legalization would probably lead to the development of safer, less vague, and more protected medical marijuana laws, so you all can keep on wanting your decriminalization, which will essentially be the same as it is now...which is horrible...I see NO reason why this harmless substance cannot be outright legalized.(not saying it will happen though...when it comes down to it our corrupt gov doesnt care to change the draconian marijuana policies at all)

this kind of depends for me on the definitions of these terms..
does decriminalization mean the cops can still hassle you?
does legalization mean you can sell it to a child?
i think you should probably be 16 or 18 to use it.. not drive while extremely intoxicated or perhaps just not while smoking.. everybody can grow it.. smoking in public should be ok.. selling adult to adult should be ok.. and the taxes put on it should be reasonable when it all boils down..

what do you think taxing and regulating means? the bill Tom Ammanio proposed in California sets age limits, and restrictions just like booze....like I said it is supposedly "decriminalized" already, in some states, and of course...if a cop catches you with a gram, he will still right you a ticket! there may be some cops that wont bother...but many just wanna fll their quota, so cops still hassle people...a lot...and it would continue to happen if we just insist on this half-ass decriminalization...there is no need for baby steps...reform is way past due.

I agree legalization would probably be the best even if it does put a few people out of jobs, and as for giving the govt. our tax money, THATS WHAT KEEPS OUR COUNTRY RUNNING, so if you arent for that than your opinion means less than shit to me. Yes our govt. is wrong and corrupt but there isnt anything you can do about it. I think they should legalize it all the way, the guy who lives in the state with decriminalization...listen to him, hes right. Cops want to fill their quota no matter what. We got harrassed one night because of a cop LOOKING for something to ticket us on and when my husband got a little cocky and said you cant ticket me i've done nothing wrong, he said oh yes you did, you didnt sign the back of your registration, and wrote us a fat $65 ticket. We fought it and won but still....they will get you for anything they can.
My biggest concern is which one, decriminalization or legalization, will change the way they do drug screens for jobs. If people still get drug tested for marijuana under decriminalization I personally wouldn’t want anything to do with it. If legalizing means I have pay $50 tax per ounce but I can work without fear of a drug test I’m all for it. I don’t know if this is the case, maybe it’s the other way around; maybe neither of them will effect drug testing. Does anyone know?

I think if it were legalized then you legally couldnt get fired for having it in your system, should be the same as cigarettes or drinking when you arent at work etc. you should be able to smoke it in public with other casual tobacco/marijuana smokers and they would make new drug detector tests that didnt search for thc, OR some jobs could have a policy or something idk... i know at walmart if you come in to work on your day off drunk even as a customer they will fire you so who knows what rules/laws they will make
It's decrimmed in australia and in my state it's a $150 fine or you have to attend a lecture (about marijuana and that it gives you the munchies and how bad it is for you).
Trust me the lectures so boring you'd rather pay the $150, but i dont normally have $150 lying around to waste.

I want full legalization. It is a part of me and makes me the person i am. Without it i would be a bipolar depressed psycho....so fuck pills. Mother Nature has what we need, mother nature is NOT a crime...hah although i have seen some people who look like a crime against nature...
