What would happen with a very minimal amount of light?

I'm rarely home, and would only be able to give a plant a few hours of light each day (I realize timers exist, but this is my first grow, and I'm not really putting any money into it this time)

I've thought of two results that may occur, both with pros and cons:
A) Plant develops quickly with very small buds
B) Plant grows slowly, allowing me to get a head start then plant outdoors when the weather becomes good.

Can anyone tell me which, if either, of those would happen?

C) your plant stretches and falls over and dies. a timer is about 5 bucks and you can even find them for cheaper than that if you look.

They will stretch severely. They will get too tall for their own good.

I strongly suggest investing $10 in a timer.

i agree with these guys... a timer is cheap. and you can use CFLs they are cheap and last for a long time. Unless you have an auto flowering strain ,chances are it will not develop at all without a timer.

another option without a timer is to get the cfl's, leave them on 24/7, they wont flower until you change the light cycle, so you could grow them as big as your space allows, remember they will at least double in size when you flower, hope that helps

Yes, thats enough light for one plant... but more light would be even better. If you could afford to get all 40watt bulbs or even higher, you'd be doing much better.

Stretching? I thought stretching was caused by the light source being too far away.

It is. Two things will cause stretching. Light too far away... or no light at all.

get 2 big oldass speakers then crackem open rip the old speakers out but leave the front part line the inside with foil or what ever pop 2 or 3 150 or 100 cfls then let them grow on 24 light

I would suggest getting some clones to save the hassle of sexing them just start with one mother let her grow when she reaches the top cut her clone fill the other speakers and keep doing that untill she reaches you time frame or space.

another thing is to pop in some small computer speakers or what ever and when friends ask why dont they get loud just tell them there blowin and you dont want to get them fix/throwthemaway yet

at one time I had like 25 big speakers told people I was a collector LOL

yo thats bangin i took my speakers out my marshall cab and hooked it up lights and fans and shit light proof.
