What Would Be Maxed Out?

I have a 3ft. by 3ft. space, in a closet, and I also have 3 tube flouros. If I flowered at 6 in., would my light produce enough to have a sog, all 6 inches, all with 1 main top cola?10-16 plants?

i was barely able to veg 2 plants 12" tall then flowered them to about 3-3 1/2 feet tall. I had 4 floros and 1 plants barely produced anything due to the extremem lack of light. This was all in a grow box 1x4x4. You are going to need in the area of 7500-10,000 lumens/sq ft to produce fat dense top colas

wow, you answered your own question, and with such gusto!

please post pictures of those colas
Plan on it. And I figured that it would work, with all the calculating, I just wanted a few extra opinions, but since smart-ass up there had to reply with "no", and that's it, I felt the need to call them out on their illigit reasoning, and the fact that they didn't feel like elaborating. It pissed me off.

at least you accept reality. floros work fine for vegging. i use four 3 footers to veg in a 3 X 2.
I have 3 24" tubes. Not much. At all. And it's even worse now, 'cause a friend lent me a hps for almost a year, and wanted it back, so I panic, and go and buy the cheapest shit I could get, and now, I don't grow HERE anymore, I use another friends house, that lives by himself.

Site your source for this info please.
Write out your calculations so a few of us can see where you missed something. Here are a few numbers from Jorge Cervantes' Medical Growers Bible:

lumens/watt of differrent bulbs
40W fluorescent 22.3w/l
40W HO fluorescent 39
CFL average 70
600W HPS 150

Maximum Light Requirements for a Plant
Seedling 375 lumens
Clone 375
Vegetative 2500
Flowering 10,000
* these guidlines will give plants all the light they need to form dense buds.
Less light will often cause looser, less-compact buds to form.

I completely lost sight of the lumens.. shit. Well, I guess you got me there, I have no source since I didn't even consider that my bulbs suck THAT much. Eh, I'll buy some cfls for next grow. Could I use 2 of those standing lamps with the 3 sockets?

go on Ebay.... for around $20 you can order a 65W flourex floodlight. 4550 usable lumens in the blue spectrum. This will due Great for you in that area. Ive read it illuminates a 2x3 area perfectly. Wiring it to a plug is as easy as white/white, black/black, 2 wire nuts and some electrical tape. I bought lamp replacement chords at walmart for around $3 or so. They run super cool also.... WAY less than my 2-42W spiral CFL's. Add some (maybe 4-6) red spectrum CFL's along with the Fluorex for flowering. Stick to only pruning a couple branches from the bottoms of the plants, around a week or so before you put them into a 12/12 cycle then dont prune anything that isnt about dead until harvest. The fluorescent light isnt strong enough to light the lower branches well enough anyway. You'll force them to put their production into the top cola's but dont overdue it becuase you'll stress them too much. You'll see a few small side buds probably. Ive read its only really recommended to try the single top cola method with clones that all grow at the same rate and that are already genetically mature. Plus it says it really needs HID light too. Good Luck. Just keep it basic and small. The buds will be bigger and better that way.
