I have an AG and some on mentioned to me just to start a 12/12 light cycle from start. What are the pro's and con's of doing this? Am I able to pull clones from a flowering plant?

I would let the plant get to at least the 4th node .. I have trainwreck going in the aerogarden now ..

Id also make sure that your plant is seated well in the sponge

you can clone of plants in flower however they may take longer to root, it is recomended that a plant be two months old b4 you take cuttings but you can do earlier the pros of 12/12 from start is the plant will grow for about a month then start to flower which will take about 2 months the downside of this is minimal yield.

i'm ok with small amounts, as long as it has the the quality is still there... Am I capped on a time of how long I can let it flower to make up for yield?

you want it to flower per the recommended flower times dictated by the breeder. typically sog or screen of green is a great way to get a good yield but kick the plants immediately into flowering.

you should neverbe ok with small yeilds you are paying for the power andwater and nutes use them to their fullest.. i just tryed some plants at 12/12 from seed they came up terribly..wish i would have given them at least 2 weeks in veg..would prefer 3 weeks. took so long to reach maturity and start to flower then the yeilds were awfull.. plus start to finish took longer than some seeds started at the same time and givin three weeks in veg... i will say though that some strains equtorial land races are more apt to do well starting and finishing at 12/12. but most hybrids we have today are not developed for this.. i strongly advise against this practicei have tryed and it failed...

the five node thing is ok i usually go at 6 to eight. less plants larger yeilds same power and nute ratios. just more for your investment

Had good luck with putting plants directly into 12/12, BUT I only use clones that start at 8 inches height. I have never tried to go 12/12 from seed.
