What will the ripple effects look like across the globe? I believe America is the backbone of the world. If you don't believe this could ever happen, then what do you think will happen if a major "disaster" takes place in the US?

Yeah, ok... what do you think will happen NOW or in the near future, with the current state of the economy.

The rich will get richer.
The middle class will become working poor.
The poor will stand in breadlines.
The people will scream to spread the wealth.
The wealth will flee the country.
The people will scream for socialism
and a police state to protect them.
They will get their wish.

The IMF will fully introdues the SDR as the new world currency.
They will push hard for global governance.
IMO this will not happen until Obamas 2nd term.
Or Ron Pauls 1st term.

Well people can only take but so much.
Gas prices back on the rise.
Home values still plummeting.
The only recourse would be an Uprise.

The way some people talk in this forum if a republican isnt elected
next round. A revolution is just around the Corner.

what do you mean IF the us ever goes bankrupt? aren't we already there? if not, why do we have such an astranomical deficit and continue to borrow money from the chinese llike it was going out of fashion? i don't know... the us was once one of the greatest powers in the world, but i think those days are long over, and i am not sure we will ever get back to where we were.. it is ugly out there

hogwash! we can get back by unleashing the US people. get back to competition and get rid of this insanely stupid liberal diversions like globl warming. if that aint a hoax to steal money from the poor i never seen one. when they raise tax on energy who do you think that hurts? it aint the rich. but back to the subject. we will get fed up, revolt, more than likely politically by voting not by pulling triggers, and somebody with some common sense will tell these marxist, in a not so polite way, "fuck off"....kinda like reagan did. till then...we are pretty much fucked. i give it about 2 years max with all the shit that is happening ie price of fuel, economic colapses, radical islam etc.

in other words...keep fighting for freedom. we are americans and we damn sure invented that!

We will be attacked when the dollar collapse. Why? Beciase it will cause Global chaous the likes of which the world has never seen. The unrest in this country will be so great; and the anger of all other nations for what the Federal reserve has done (IMF) that America will suffer the blame.

The world will not what slick politician answers. They too are tired of it. Just like we are. But the responce will be overwhelming.

Opec has been threating to fore-go the conversion of the worlds currencies into dollar- for their purchasing of oil through them. They are looking at the Euro and have been for years. When Opec does this- gas will go through the roof.
That will further deepen the ecpnomic unrest here and, as they continue to print 'money' it devaluse every dollar in circulation.
China is sick of it. Opec. We, the people. And the global banks could care less.
Why?
They want a global CASHLESS socity and the only way to do that is to break the current system of paper - fiat- currency.

Just imagine it. All US dollars being worth nothing. And no way to pay the bills. That's you and I all the way up to international corporations.
But again- the dollar has been the yard stick for all other currencies. And the flucuation between the currencies is getting out of hand. So... I think they are trying to collapse the dollar- wich will lead to Martial Law, which will lead to the most perfect time for our ememies to strike.
No gas for the war machine. No gas for transport of any kkind.
(The war machines will be fuled but not out transportation network.
How will food be shipped?
How will it be paid for?

What would you do if the Fed Government said "Go down to your local Post Office and Get Chipped"?
Which carries with it an Oath from you to abide by the new 'consitution'. You have no rights. You do what the police state tells you or.... your 'chip' is shut off.
Civil revolt, the proper time to be attacked.

re-read the above. It's a loop.

No matter what- the dollar is dead. And those that caused it's collapse have their plane already in place. Look up prosperity and security agreements (Amero) ..

They have decsided to NOT print money but to go into a modern for of bio metric stylr currency. And the security part of the agreement??
Forigne tropps can now be called upon by the US Gov to qwell civil unrest here in our 'homeland'.

Again the loop.

I know of know educated America that will stand for the contract, that will be envoked upon the user- than the one they have waiting in the wing for those who have lost everything. How else are you going to buy food?

But ... look outside the US. Look at what would be happening there?

Hence I belive we will be attacked like never before.
And in a Modern war it could be over in an hour.

Einstien said "I know not how the thrid world war will be faught- but the fourth one will be fought with sticks and stones." (check the actual wording of that quote.)

Now... don't get your panties in a twist but for a real good look at what may happen- read Rev 18. The courty that is spoken of is gone in one hour. To the point that never again ever will there ever be seen in her the light of a candle nor the sound of a harp.
I can only see the US fitting that mold.
So.
I don't know what to say but- it's far worse than we can possibly even imagine.

ON THE GREAT SIDE:

We need to take our country back and slamb the door shut until WE get back on top of things.
But the globalist won't let that happen with out a confrontation.
We need to tell the big corporations to hit the road- China Mart... excuse me - Walmart. We need to once again manufacture our on material for living. We MUST have a sound and valuable currency.
To not do the above is to only suceed in not reaching the finish line. Half measures will do nothing but put death in a dress. Lipstick optional.

PS " Jeff f " was right on, or very near, this very mark.

The government isn't bankrupt. A government can not file for bankruptcy. The government have the ability to pay its creditors. It's $13,000,000,000,000 in debt. Yet we the people of the United States are the richest in the entire world. :-)

I read somewhere that america is no longer the major country in the world, its china and we are now like 3rd. I think that sux because we use to run shit and it seems we are losing our status.

our government buys money from the federal reserve bank which is not a government back! every time they borrow money it comes with interest, basically more debt, so how can government pay its debt by borrowing money and accumulating more debt. it an endless process. our fed reserve also makes money for other countries like trinidad, i've been there recently and that is what its people told me anyway. crazy world we live though right?

A dollar in 1913 was worth one dollar. Today- due to the number in circulation is wothe less than 3 cents.

Now, due to the presses working over time it's lossing even more of it's 'vaule'.
You can call it money but what is that money worth?
When it hits nothing- it's worthless.
China is getting to dump it's 3 trillion dollars worth of tresury bonds on the market- furthur devauluating the dollar.

We don't have lots of money- the fed reserve is printing lots of worthless paper. Nobody is buying the tresury bonds.
Why?
Because there is no way to pay it back (to buy back the tresury bonds.)
This is just the simple nature of Currency- cash and coin.

exactly!

I wish more people knew the dynamics of what makes a currency valuable.

We just bought 90 euro worth of seeds. The conversion cost us $154 dollars US.
What does that say about the value of the dollr?
And it's gonna get worse.

For anyone who doesn't understand the dynamics of money, this is worth a watch:

We really have no money, only deficits (a promise to pay though taxes), but when China, or the Saudis lose confidence in our ability to repay, the dollar will collapse. We would be left helplessly begging the rest of the world (the international monetary fund) to bail us out, or create a new world currency that would leave the dollars in your pocket worth a tenth of it's value.

Of course social chaos will ensue, and historically, governments tend to fall once the economy collapse.

Some pretty bright people are already predicting this so there is a strong possibility of this happening, so why isn't the government telling us... how to prepare for it?

<LI class="dateStamp first">DECEMBER 29, 2008As if Things Weren't Bad Enough, Russian Professor Predicts End of U.S.

In Moscow, Igor Panarin's Forecasts Are All the Rage; America 'Disintegrates' in 2010

By ANDREW OSBORN

MOSCOW -- For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010. For most of that time, he admits, few took his argument -- that an economic and moral collapse will trigger a civil war and the eventual breakup of the U.S. -- very seriously. Now he's found an eager audience: Russian state media.
Igor Panarin

In recent weeks, he's been interviewed as much as twice a day about his predictions. "It's a record," says Prof. Panarin. "But I think the attention is going to grow even stronger."
Prof. Panarin, 50 years old, is not a fringe figure. A former KGB analyst, he is dean of the Russian Foreign Ministry's academy for future diplomats. He is invited to Kremlin receptions, lectures students, publishes books, and appears in the media as an expert on U.S.-Russia relations.
But it's his bleak forecast for the U.S. that is music to the ears of the Kremlin, which in recent years has blamed Washington for everything from instability in the Middle East to the global financial crisis. Mr. Panarin's views also fit neatly with the Kremlin's narrative that Russia is returning to its rightful place on the world stage after the weakness of the 1990s, when many feared that the country would go economically and politically bankrupt and break into separate territories.
A polite and cheerful man with a buzz cut, Mr. Panarin insists he does not dislike Americans. But he warns that the outlook for them is dire.
"There's a 55-45% chance right now that disintegration will occur," he says. "One could rejoice in that process," he adds, poker-faced. "But if we're talking reasonably, it's not the best scenario -- for Russia." Though Russia would become more powerful on the global stage, he says, its economy would suffer because it currently depends heavily on the dollar and on trade with the U.S.
Mr. Panarin posits, in brief, that mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation will trigger a civil war next fall and the collapse of the dollar. Around the end of June 2010, or early July, he says, the U.S. will break into six pieces -- with Alaska reverting to Russian control.
In addition to increasing coverage in state media, which are tightly controlled by the Kremlin, Mr. Panarin's ideas are now being widely discussed among local experts. He presented his theory at a recent roundtable discussion at the Foreign Ministry. The country's top international relations school has hosted him as a keynote speaker. During an appearance on the state TV channel Rossiya, the station cut between his comments and TV footage of lines at soup kitchens and crowds of homeless people in the U.S. The professor has also been featured on the Kremlin's English-language propaganda channel, Russia Today.
Mr. Panarin's apocalyptic vision "reflects a very pronounced degree of anti-Americanism in Russia today," says Vladimir Pozner, a prominent TV journalist in Russia. "It's much stronger than it was in the Soviet Union."
Mr. Pozner and other Russian commentators and experts on the U.S. dismiss Mr. Panarin's predictions. "Crazy ideas are not usually discussed by serious people," says Sergei Rogov, director of the government-run Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies, who thinks Mr. Panarin's theories don't hold water.
Mr. Panarin's résumé includes many years in the Soviet KGB, an experience shared by other top Russian officials. His office, in downtown Moscow, shows his national pride, with pennants on the wall bearing the emblem of the FSB, the KGB's successor agency. It is also full of statuettes of eagles; a double-headed eagle was the symbol of czarist Russia.
The professor says he began his career in the KGB in 1976. In post-Soviet Russia, he got a doctorate in political science, studied U.S. economics, and worked for FAPSI, then the Russian equivalent of the U.S. National Security Agency. He says he did strategy forecasts for then-President Boris Yeltsin, adding that the details are "classified."
In September 1998, he attended a conference in Linz, Austria, devoted to information warfare, the use of data to get an edge over a rival. It was there, in front of 400 fellow delegates, that he first presented his theory about the collapse of the U.S. in 2010.
"When I pushed the button on my computer and the map of the United States disintegrated, hundreds of people cried out in surprise," he remembers. He says most in the audience were skeptical. "They didn't believe me."
At the end of the presentation, he says many delegates asked him to autograph copies of the map showing a dismembered U.S.
He based the forecast on classified data supplied to him by FAPSI analysts, he says. He predicts that economic, financial and demographic trends will provoke a political and social crisis in the U.S. When the going gets tough, he says, wealthier states will withhold funds from the federal government and effectively secede from the union. Social unrest up to and including a civil war will follow. The U.S. will then split along ethnic lines, and foreign powers will move in.
California will form the nucleus of what he calls "The Californian Republic," and will be part of China or under Chinese influence. Texas will be the heart of "The Texas Republic," a cluster of states that will go to Mexico or fall under Mexican influence. Washington, D.C., and New York will be part of an "Atlantic America" that may join the European Union. Canada will grab a group of Northern states Prof. Panarin calls "The Central North American Republic." Hawaii, he suggests, will be a protectorate of Japan or China, and Alaska will be subsumed into Russia.
"It would be reasonable for Russia to lay claim to Alaska; it was part of the Russian Empire for a long time." A framed satellite image of the Bering Strait that separates Alaska from Russia like a thread hangs from his office wall. "It's not there for no reason," he says with a sly grin.
Interest in his forecast revived this fall when he published an article in Izvestia, one of Russia's biggest national dailies. In it, he reiterated his theory, called U.S. foreign debt "a pyramid scheme," and predicted China and Russia would usurp Washington's role as a global financial regulator.
Americans hope President-elect Barack Obama "can work miracles," he wrote. "But when spring comes, it will be clear that there are no miracles."
The article prompted a question about the White House's reaction to Prof. Panarin's forecast at a December news conference. "I'll have to decline to comment," spokeswoman Dana Perino said amid much laughter.
For Prof. Panarin, Ms. Perino's response was significant. "The way the answer was phrased was an indication that my views are being listened to very carefully," he says.
The professor says he's convinced that people are taking his theory more seriously. People like him have forecast similar cataclysms before, he says, and been right. He cites French political scientist Emmanuel Todd. Mr. Todd is famous for having rightly forecast the demise of the Soviet Union -- 15 years beforehand. "When he forecast the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1976, people laughed at him," says Prof. Panarin.
