What was your most painful "Self-induced" grow mistake?

In high school I popped 100+ seeds without the equipment to deal with more than 5 of them.

Mason jarred weed too early and got bud rot.

help me learn here.
only 60 people have made mistakes?

Right on Sweet leaf !!! My point exactly ! And face it.., aint no scholar out there university or road that hasnt done something unbelievably stupid when seeing it after the fact.

over pruned 4 mostly sativas deep in flowering

brought an outdoor plant into my indoor grow tent...2 weeks later all my flowering plants are hanging to dear to life.......powdery freaking mildew......
waited about a month, cleaned out the tent with bleach got all new clones, vegged them out for about 3 weeks, started flowering, and guess what?......powdery freaking mildew.....
waited another month, cleaned out my tent with bleach and vinegar, started several beautiful plants from seed....vegged them out for over a month.....switched to flowering and guess what?.....powdery freaking mildew..
waited about 8 months..cleaned out my tent with bleach and vinegar, stripped and cleaned tower fan, and upgraded exhaust for better circulation....im flowering now and all seems well....wish me luck

my outdoor plant got the powdery milder from cucumbers i have growing in the back...the mj was showing no signs of disease so i thought nothing of it...little did i know powdery mildew lays dormant in marijuana until flowering begins

yep, mistook under watering and raising of pH in soil to be problems with water/soil pH. I suppose first seedling didn't exactly die of damping off as I suspected, I was letting them dry too much for seedlings apparently, my soil would shoot to 8.5-9 when drying out, very alkaline; I need to get some of that dolomite powder :/

got ac goin in window, keeping room around 73 in room, 75-80 in box with another fan blowing air venting through the box, they dry out pretty fast, don't have a measurement but I suspect the humidity is low.

worst mistake ever?

Leaving a batch of 4 day old clones with an inexperienced roomsitter.

All he had to do was water them once a day!

WTF?

tried to veg 9 og's in a 2x4x6 closet under 600w hps for 7 weeks got pm. put new clones in ffof. put my first harvest in mason jars too soon, lost half of it to mold. moved plants week 7 broke 2 off at the roots. tried to use bt to kill root aphids, then tried neem...

I've made may mistakes especially when starting off like overwatering and overfeeding etc but the dumbest thing I did since gaining a bit of experience was to buy a yellow 10 euro ph meter from fleabay and actually trust it.
I ended up killing a few seedlings by trusting the goddam thing.
Lesson learned and now have a decent meter
