What to look for when its the most reasonable time to harvest cannabis?

How to tell when a flower is resonably ripe? ( ready to harves

  • I harvest by trich color

  • I harvest by the number of dead hairs

  • I harvest by calyxes size , number of dead hairs, trichome colors

  • I harvest By hair receded

For example my preference for what i look for in a ripe bud is trich color(25% clear, 25% amber, 50% milky and the calyx size.. sometimes hair color ..
But with out knowing the particular plants characteristics ( first time growing a new strain)
One or two of these tells are not good to go by..

This isnt a debate platform.. just a place to allow new growers some insight on peoples preferences on ripe flowers and to allow a new grower help judge their own plants for readieness..

I started by checking trich color and last grow I used the hair receding method. Both worked. I'm at the point of honing it in now after 4 grows. Experience goes a long way with the help of a number of people on this forum.
