    I am a registered patient.

What happens to the excess meds if a grower should have a great plant(s) and exceed their weight limit?

Production control to a ounce of precision seems very hard to do but it is illegal to exceed your weights.

So something is going on - what is the legal solution only

Much respect and any Legal knowledge is good for all of us!!

Yea topping the limit at 1 oz.Is bs you coudn't grow and have less always unless you really suck at growing.OR lets you have 1.5 pounds per patient.Allowed 4 thats 6 fucking lbs.1 oz would only last about a week

I think it really only applies to how much you can carry around with you, they aren't coming into your home after harvest and weighing it.

Here is what I read on the MMMA web site.

Collectively, the caregiver and the qualifying patient should only possess a quantity of marihuana that is not more than is reasonably necessary to ensure the uninterrupted availability of marihuana for the purpose of treating or alleviating the patient's serious or debilitating medical condition or symptoms of the patient's serious or debilitating medical condition.

So for each patient in MI you can have 5 plants, I don't see any restriction on ammount of marijuana allowed besides to the patient. For the caregiver, you have to have a "reasonable ammount" so the patient doesn't run out. Leaves a little bit of a grey spot, just like most of the damn laws. Hope that helps.
