this is NON cannabis related. there is a guy. loves to sue everyone. well guess it was our turn. yep got a lawyer. went to court. WON. so ya think ok I am a good person see judge even says so. well after this guy spends 27 grand already to loose he decides to appeal.

So today I am sitting at home. phone rings.
{am really starting to hate that damn phone}
its our lawyer. tells us guy is out to serve us again. and to hide mr mcgreggor. well you try and hide mr mcgreggor he don't listen for beans.
I figure rent a rv for the weekend pack up the dog {200Lb St bernard} and run away from home till monday when the time limit is over.

well mr. will watch the barn burn to save a bail of hay.
so ofcourse he don't want to run away from home.

so now here I am worried. how rotten are the fellers that serve you papers?
if I let the dog out to go potty. can they be sitting down the road watching an call the cops with some bogus charge like animal abuse and have the cops come then serve us?

I have 2 very lovely rather large babies still in 18/6. should I put them upstairs in the armwar. and have it face the wall with crap piled up infrunt. {trust me no one would look there cuz I tore apart the upstairs down to the studs.} that way if anyone did come to the door ya I have a grow room and the SOB is FILLED with stuff growing for the garden. as well thats not why anyone is coming here. but that would screw up 24 hours worth the lighting.
can not serve you on a sunday I found that on the web.

Bottom line I have no idea how the crazy crap works getting served.
I do not like the serenity of my home to be upset.
Mr. will NOT run away for a weekend. {stupid}
how far will a process server go to screw up your life and home.

please do not be a smart jerk with me right now. Am Cranky and stressed.
I need a little sound advice so i can print it out and beat mrmcgreggor over the head with it.

I'm a little confused, but in my own experience process or summons servers tend to surprise you. However, they cannot act with impunity like bail bondsmen/bounty hunters. I believe that they have to respect certain times of day, etcetera. Every time I've been served they walk and say my name, and my acknowledgment is allowing them to serve me. Does that make sense?

The only reason we know about this is that they went to the lawyers office first.
HE slipped out and called me and called the business. told me DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR
FOR ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW!!! we have honestly Not done anything wrong.
it is just as the judge said A case of need for greed.
trust me when your lawyer gives you his cel and office and HOME phone number
you listen. least I do.
lawyer said if they can not serve you it will go away. this saga has gone on for a longgggggg
time. and it is all just a bunch of crap. the guy dosent work he JUST SUES people. and can afford to because his Ma is Loaded so it is nothing out of his pocket. and we are just one in a VERY long
list.
so I pose the question again.
HOW far will a process server go to serve you papers if you as MrMcGreggor wants to do.
just hide in your house and close your eyes and hold your breath.

I use the same process server relegiously when i have to evict a tennant due to the great lengths he will go to serve people "read dirty tricks here" ,there are 2 ways to be legally served, the 1st is to be served in person, the 2nd is to be served via registered signature mail, both will hold up in court.

A server's word will hold up in court, all they have to do is say they served you in person then slip the summons under your door or even throw the papers at your feet,a server only makes $25 per summons they serve so some will be very creative in order to make a living at the game.

Your best bet is to leave & go some place like a hotel where you will have proof that you were not home to be served, this way in the event the preson serving you is a liar & says they served you in person you can show that there was no way he could of.

If you decide to stay home make the place look like your gone, pull the cars inside the garage, close all the windows & shut the drapes, dont answer the phone & no matter what do not answer the door,in the event a server catches you off gaurd & your talking to him through your screen door lie to him, tell him you are not the person he's looking for & that the person he is looking for has never lived at this address nor do you know this person,if he continues to pester you simply close the door.

At no time can a process server enter your home, they will try & trick you with fake sheriff badges, then say some official sounding shit like im joe blow "flashes badge" from the mayberry sheriff's office, can you open the door so we can talk !,dont fall for that shit, they have no arrest powers or any other power, the badge they have is the equlivent of a police booster badge & gives them no more rights than an average citizen.

A server that's good at his job will serve you anywhere he can,at work,on your way out of the grocery store, after you step out of your door at 4am to leave for work,at 12pm they will beat on your door, wake everybody up,flash the bubble gum badge, tell you some reason you need to open the door, then throw the summons through the open door at your feet, walla you've been served.

If you get a persistent server that just wont go away dream up shit to ruin his day, answer the door buck naked, wearing only a football helmet & bright red thigh high socks with chocolate pudding all over your chest, that guy will never come back.

Mrs. McGreggor, I think you folks may want to explore the idea of having this man declared a vexatious litigant by the court. Your attorney will know what that is.

For the rest of us: vexatious litigant - Google Search

well thanks ever so much for your kindness and support but *()*(&^$%#$
just got a call they nailed our lawyer. *(*(*&*&^&%%$.....!!!
Just so you can perhaps understand why I am so completely lost with this stuff.
its that I have only ever gotten one speeding ticket in my life.
35 mph in a 30 for passing a tractor 1/2 way in the ditch why looking at christmas lights. and we all know if you drive REALLY REALLY fast looking at christmas lights they twinkle more. sheese.....
I printed out the vexatious litigation info. Me I would want to do that as of right now am so frustrated. BUT I know MrMcGreggor.. and nope I know he wouldn't. but Mr. Panhead
your wonderful post accurally made it possible for me to get MrMcGreggor to move the truck and the van. and that in and of it self was a true miracle. But also a testament as to what a really good kind of guy MrMcGreggor is. HE just can not understand why if you are a good person anyone would want to do you any harm. and his heart is that good.
but that heart sure doesn't seem to keep em out of court any. *(&*&^*$%$%#$@##$@#@$@#@$%%^$$%#$%@#$^#^%$%^*(&*^*(^...

Son of a BITCH! My husband and I are looking at more court time for an issue that was supposed to be settled last year, and the "litigant" ended up with tens of thousands of our dollars that she has now used to pay for more lawyer time.

At least YOUR attorney's looking out for you, be very glad for that. There are those who don't.
