Check the area for slugs look under the pots at the bottom. Do you notice any slimy residue resembling jizz? Could be grass hoppers.

One of those leafs has a hole in it, not eaten from the margin. Never seen a grasshopper eat from the surface always the edge. I am leaning towards slugs also. Good luck!

Edit: on closer look at the first pic there is an opening at the edge of that big hole. Grasshopper...

Well, whats up my brother? One of the pics had kind of a ring pattern or residue. and like you said the holes on the middle of the leaf. Could be grasshopper. the ring looks strange thought maybe lens flash on said residue? Bird shit?
I don't see anything
Slugs come out at night. Grass hoppers jump away usually before you get to them, although they are slower when they eat your pot. My personal observation. A bird would maim it down to almost just stem.

I think what ever it was has stopped eating it so should I remove the partial leaves or let them stay on

How's it hangin Dp? Been busy with the flower beds and garden now that the warm weather is here.
We have both of them evil bastards here. The slugs are already out.

I agree, do not remove the leafs.
