i have no idea what my ppm is. i have nothin to measure with. as fo the lights....it is impossible to move them further because of the space
My suggestion....check out Roseman's thread. He and others there would help you out.

i also use tap water. can that cause that problem?????
tap water can have residual minerals in it and should at least be distilled before using, if not run through a nice water filter.

Thats a nice big girl you got goin there though, she deffinately filled up her space ;p

haha, hell yeah! she marked her teritorry.
I'll stop using tap water tho and I'll give her only plain water for few days. hopefully I'l get rid of that salt built or wtf that is.

you can use tap water fairly safely as long as you let it distill first. A basic distiill involves leaving the water open overnight, just to let certain chemicals disipate out of the water (such as trace amounts of chlorine). Even though it would be a huge pain in the ass you could even use a brita filter just to remove trace minerals out of your water.
Cant wait to see a pic of her cut and cured :)

do you think that the normal(3%) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) added in my reservoire will help desolving this salt problem thingy?

how the fuck you grew those with cfls is a mystery. they look fine. do what everyone said, check your ph, ferts, etc. 7 weeks even with full nutes she will yellow. she is eating herself, part of the process. by the time harvest comes, the more shit the fans look like the better of a job you did with the nutes finishing her up

But this is not distilling. Distilling is alot different that airating the water till the clorine breaks down.

I don't want some noobie like me to read you post and think that by leaving their tap water out over nigh they are somehow making distilled water.

to distille some water you need to boil it. not to leave it over night....just like that.
I used tap water because was cheaper and i didnt think that will affect that much. but I think that because of the tap water I have that problem

Not only boil it but also condense the steam made from the boiling. The steam that condenses back into water is the distilled water. The water in the pot will always be tap water. Boiled tap water but tap water none the less..

boiling tap water is NOT distilling it. Distilling it involves collecting the steam vapors. more than likely your tap water is fine unless very hard. go onlin eor call your water company and ask them what the ph is and what the total ppm's are. there is much needed ca and mg in there that plants really need if u r not supplementing which most poeple are not. You can buy distilled from grocery store 1.39 a gallon

so if I use only distilled water for few days this problem should go? this salt block thing

There is a pretty good chance it will help to clear it up. With tap water the salts keep accumulating untill the plant cannot handle it anymore. Try flushing the plant with 2x-5x the normal watering amount. The distilled water should absorb a ton of the salt as it flushes your soil. Good Luck!

I grow hydroponic, but I'll do this. I'l water her with 3-4 times more water(distilled water) than usual.
Thanks !:joint:

Doh! Sorry. Then you may just want to change your res to distilled water with no nutes, but PHed.

suggestion-if u replace and replenish that res every so often, than really no need to do it again. you do not want to run your system with no nutes in it for longer than a day or 2. unless u r using a salt leeching solution like Clearex, tap or distilled water wont do too much to remove the salts if they r built up on the roots. but again, if u r constantly changing the water, prob not much salt build up. running no nuted res at this stage will cause deficiencies and you will panic and try to do more shit to correct it when it was fine to begin with.

My bad then! For some reason reading this I thought he was using soil. If there is salt buildup in the roots, i got no ideas other than distilled water for a day or 2 (maybe a 1/4 nutes?.) Won't the salt be leached from the roots into the distilled water? Or is nute uptake a one way deal?

The reason I was saying no nutes is that there will be less salts (and other stuff) in solution in the plain distilled water, thus it might have a better opportunity to pull more salts out of the roots. But if its a one way system and roots only uptake, I guess its all for nothing. Still new and trying to put all the pieces together :)
